On Friday evening, December 26, Russia attacked one of Kharkiv's main roads with guided aerial bombs. As a result of the strike, two people were killed, and three others suffered blast injuries, according to Kharkiv Regional Administration head Oleh Syniehubov.

He said that only civilian residential buildings and an educational facility are located in the area that was hit, with no military targets nearby.

"Three people suffered blast injuries, including a 9-month-old girl. Another five people were diagnosed with acute stress reactions. Medics provided all necessary assistance. Unfortunately, two men died," Syniehubov said.

Windows were shattered in nearby apartment buildings and private homes, and several cars caught fire.
