On the evening of Wednesday, July 16, the Russian army launched an airstrike using a guided bomb on the city of Dobropillia in the Donetsk region. Casualties have already been reported, the Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin, reports.

According to preliminary data, the strike killed 2 people and injured 14. However, the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office later clarified that the number of wounded has risen to 17.

"The Russians once again deliberately struck a crowded area - a shopping center in the city center. This time, they used a 500-kilogram aerial bomb," Filashkin wrote.

So far, approximately 30 shops, 6 apartment buildings, and 8 vehicles were damaged in the strike.

People are likely still trapped under the rubble - search efforts for survivors are ongoing.

"I inspected the strike site and issued instructions to all responsible services. Rescuers, medics, police, and local authorities are working at the scene. This is yet another horrific crime by the Russians on our land. They seek to wipe us out, every last one of us," Filashkin emphasized.
