On Wednesday, January 28, the Russian army suffered further losses. This time, the enemy lost two aircraft - a Su-30 and a Su-34, according to Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation.

"Today, the Russians lost two aircraft - a Su-30 and a Su-34," the message reads.

It was reported on social media that the Su-34 was destroyed along with its crew.

Russian army losses

Earlier today, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) released footage showing Ukrainian special forces carrying out a series of successful strikes on Russian airfields. These attacks destroyed or damaged 15 aircraft, causing over $1 billion in losses and weakening Russia's strikes on Ukraine.

Five Russian military airfields used for aviation basing were hit.

Among the destroyed and damaged equipment were 11 fighters and bombers, including Su-30SM, Su-34, Su-27, Su-24, MiG-31, one transport plane (An-26), and three helicopters (Mi-28, Mi-26, and Mi-8).

Additionally, as of July 1, 2025, British intelligence tallied Russian aviation losses since the start of the full-scale war. According to their assessment, the enemy lost at least 135 military aircraft, including more than 30 Su-34 fighter-bombers.
