Late in the evening on July 21, the enemy struck the city of Sumy with guided aerial bombs (KABs). As a result of the attack, a residential building was damaged, and there are injured people, according to the acting mayor, Artem Kobzar.

"Dear community! Preliminary reports indicate that the two explosions you just heard were KAB strikes on one of the districts of our city," the message reads.

Kobzar clarified that, preliminarily, there are no fatalities, but three people were injured.

He also added that the attack damaged a multi-apartment residential building. Windows were shattered and balconies destroyed.

"All necessary services are working at the site. Take care of yourselves and your loved ones," he concluded.

"Tomorrow at 08:00, a headquarters for emergency response will be set up at Kindergarten No. 22," Kobzar informed.

Attacks on the city of Sumy

Russian forces regularly target the city with drones, missiles, and aerial bombs.

Specifically, during the day on July 20, the enemy struck the city with a drone. As a result of the attack, residential buildings, a car, and the power grid were damaged.

In addition, a 7-year-old boy and his 34-year-old mother, who were near the explosion site, sought medical help.
