Starting in mid-November, Russia resumed combined drone and missile attacks on Ukraine. And the enemy will continue to do so, states the representative of Ukraine's Defense Intelligence Andrii Cherniak.

In particular, during the interview, journalists asked the DIU representative whether there would be more massive attacks by Russia in December and January, especially during the holidays and before the inauguration of US President-elect Donald Trump. Cherniak replied that there would be.

“Strikes will continue with drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles,” he said.

The Ukrainian intelligence official explained that Russia is now trying to prove and show that it is a strong and global player. However, in reality, Russia is exhausted and has no strength.

“It is trying its best to keep its military-industrial complex in check, to create some new weapons to show the world that Russia is a superpower,” he summarized.

Oleksandr Musienko, head of the Center for Military and Legal Studies, believes that Russia may conduct 2 to 4 more massive attacks on Ukraine by January 20. In his opinion, the enemy will try to do so.

We also reported that the last time Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine was early in the morning on Friday, December 14. In particular, the Air Force's radio engineering troops detected 287 enemy air targets, namely 94 missiles and 193 UAVs.

As of 11:30 a.m. that day, the air defense forces shot down a total of 81 missiles of various types and 80 attack drones. In addition, 150 UAVs were lost locally, five returned to Russia, and one flew to Belarus.
