Russia warns Europe of 'very short' war if conflict breaks out

A war between Russia and Europe would be "very short" if it were to break out, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said, according to TASS.
The Russian diplomat once again insisted that Russia is not preparing for a military conflict with Western countries and is supposedly not interested in one.
Against this backdrop, however, he decided to publicly threaten Europe, which has made it clear that it would fight back against Russia in the event of an invasion.
"If Europe attacks Russia, it will be a completely different war, and it will be very short," Lavrov cynically stated.
He also repeated Russian leader Vladimir Putin's claim that the deployment of foreign troops in Ukraine would immediately be regarded by Moscow as a declaration of war.
Moreover, the Russian foreign minister continues to blame Kyiv's allies for Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The Kremlin portrays its own crimes as consequences of the "expansionist policy of the West."
"A settlement in Ukraine requires the fulfillment of the original objectives of the special military operation," Lavrov cynically added.
Putin's ally went on to accuse Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of allegedly destroying everything Russian.
In addition, the Russian foreign minister falsely claimed that the West is trying to directly interfere in voting by Russians in the State Duma elections both abroad and inside Russia.
Russia recently unexpectedly announced its readiness for a new round of negotiations on ending the war.
