Russia-Ukraine war: Situation on the front as of November 19

Russian occupiers continue to storm near Bakhmut and attempt to encircle Avdiivka. However, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repel enemy attacks. Within a day, there were 71 combat clashes on the front line, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Shelling of Ukraine
The General Staff reported that on the night of November 19, the air defense forces destroyed 15 out of 20 kamikaze drones launched by the enemy against Ukraine.
In total, the adversary delivered 5 missile and 76 aviation strikes and conducted 50 shelling attacks with MLRS on the positions of our troops and inhabited areas. As a result of the Russian attacks, there were casualties and injuries.
More than 150 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.
Frontline situation
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, actively conducts sabotage activities to prevent the transfer of our troops to threatening directions, and increases the density of mine-explosive barriers along the state border in the Belgorod region.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy carried out assault actions near Synkivka and east of Petropavlivka in the Kharkiv region, where the Defense Forces repelled 7 attacks.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted assault actions in the area of Torske in the Donetsk region, without success.
In the Bakhmut direction, our soldiers repelled 8 attacks by invaders near Klishchiivka and Andriivka in the Donetsk region. The Ukrainian Defense Forces continued assault actions south of Bakhmut, causing losses to the enemy in personnel and equipment, consolidating on the achieved lines.
In the Avdiivka direction, the occupiers continue their attempts to encircle Avdiivka. Ukrainian soldiers hold the defense steadfastly, inflicting significant losses on the enemy. The enemy's offensive actions were unsuccessful east of Keramik, Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, and Avdiivka in the Donetsk region, where the Defense Forces repelled 26 attacks.
In the Melitopol direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault actions in Maryinka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. Here, our defenders repelled 22 attacks.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault actions near Staramaiorske in the Donetsk region, where the Defense Forces repelled 3 attacks.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy conducted assault actions in the areas of the settlements of Robotyne, Novoprokopivka, and west of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region, without success.
Successes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
According to the General Staff, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue the offensive operation in the Melitopol direction. In the Kherson region, our defenders engage in counter-battery combat.
The Defense Forces continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region. They continue to inflict fire damage on the enemy.
During the day, the aviation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine delivered 6 strikes on the concentration areas of the occupiers. Missile forces struck 3 command points and 3 concentration areas of Russians and enemy equipment.
