Russia-Ukraine war: Situation on the front as of November 6

Russian shelling

Over the past day, there were 53 battles. In total, the enemy launched 6 rockets and 70 air strikes and fired 76 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and populated areas.

Airstrikes hit the following cities:

Synkivka, Ivanivka in the Kharkiv region;

Nadiya, Serebryanske Forestry in the Luhansk region;

Terny, Klishchiivka, Lastochkino, Novokalynove, Spirne, Vesele, Oleksandropil, Avdiivka, Ocheretyno, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka, Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region;

Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region;

Respublikanets, Lvove, Tiahynka in the Kherson region.

More than 90 settlements in the Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.

Frontline situation

There is no change in the operational situation in the Volyn and Polissia directions.

In the Siversk and Slobozhanske direction, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of our troops to the threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful attacks near the settlements of Synkivka, Petropavlivka, and Ivanivka in the Kharkiv region, where our defenders repulsed about 10 enemy attacks.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy did not carry out any offensive actions.

In the Bakhmut direction, the occupants tried to regain their lost ground in the areas of Klishchiivka and Andriivka, where our defenders repulsed 5 enemy attacks. The enemy also launched unsuccessful attacks near Bohdanivka, Khromove, and Pivdenne in the Donetsk region, where Ukrainian troops repelled another 5 enemy attacks. In turn, the Defense Forces continued their offensive operations south of Bakhmut, inflicting losses on the enemy in terms of manpower and equipment, and consolidating their positions.

In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy, supported by aviation, continues to try to encircle Avdiivka. Ukrainian soldiers steadfastly hold the line, inflicting significant losses on the enemy. Thus, the defense forces repelled about 10 attacks in the areas of Stepove, Avdiivka, Severne, and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region.

In the Maryinka direction, the enemy launched unsuccessful attacks near Maryinka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. Ukrainian troops repelled more than 20 enemy attacks there.

In the direction of Shakhtarsk and Zaporizhzhia, the enemy launched unsuccessful attacks northwest of Verbove, Robotyne, north of Nesterianka, and Pyatykhatky in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces

The Ukrainian Armed Forces continued their offensive in the Melitopol direction, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupants and exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.

In the Kherson direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are engaged in counter-battery battles, inflicting fire on the enemy's rear.

Enemy losses

Over the past day, the Ukrainian Air Force carried out 10 sorties on the concentrations of enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment. The Ukrainian Air Force also destroyed 4 enemy reconnaissance drones.

The missile troops destroyed 3 artillery units and 5 concentrations of enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment.
