Ukrainian fighters continue to advance in the Melitopol and Bakhmut directions. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are inflicting losses on the occupying forces in both personnel and equipment, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Russian shelling
Russia continues to disregard international humanitarian law, targeting not only the positions of Ukrainian troops but also civilian infrastructure in populated areas, terrorizing the civilian population.
Yesterday, the Russian Federation launched another attack on Ukraine, using 38 Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles Shahed-136/131. The port infrastructure in the Odesa region was affected. As a result of the military operations conducted by the air defense forces, 26 enemy Shaheds were destroyed.
"The Ukrainian defense forces continue to defend the eastern and southern regions of Ukraine, conducting offensive operations in the Melitopol direction and advancing on the Bahmut direction, destroying the enemy and gradually liberating temporarily occupied territories, consolidating their positions," the statement said.
There were 26 armed clashes recorded. The enemy launched 10 missile strikes and 77 airstrikes and conducted 44 artillery shelling attacks using multiple launch rocket systems, targeting both the positions of our troops and civilian objects in our country.
Unfortunately, there have been casualties and injuries among the civilian population due to Russian terrorist attacks. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have also been damaged.
Frontline situation
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in border areas, actively engaging in sabotage activities to prevent the redeployment of our troops to critical areas and increasing the density of mine and explosive barriers along the state border in the Belgorod region.
In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group in the Kupiansk, Lyman, and Bakhmut directions, the enemy did not engage in offensive actions.
In the area of responsibility of the Tavria operational-strategic group in the Avdiivka direction, the defense forces repelled enemy attacks in the area of the settlement of Severne in the Donetsk region.
In the Maryinka direction, the enemy's unsuccessful offensive actions were observed in the area of Maryinka in the Donetsk region, where they made 13 unsuccessful attempts to displace our units from their positions.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, our defenders continue to hold their positions and protect our land from the occupiers.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled an enemy attack in the area south of Novodarivka in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Ukrainian Armed Forces advance
The Ukrainian defense forces continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol direction and offensive actions in the Bakhmut direction, inflicting losses on the occupying forces in personnel and equipment and exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.
Enemy losses
Over the past day, the aviation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out 12 strikes on the concentration areas of enemy personnel, weaponry, and military equipment.
Units of the missile troops struck 5 artillery units, 3 concentration areas of enemy personnel and military equipment, 1 command post, and 2 ammunition depots of the enemy.
