Russia-Ukraine war: Situation on the front as of September 25

Enemy attacks

During the night, Russia once again attacked Ukraine with rockets and kamikaze drones Shahed-136/131. The port infrastructure in the Odesa region was targeted. Information regarding the consequences of this terrorist attack is currently being clarified.

The enemy conducted 1 missile strike and 56 aviation attacks, launching 85 shelling attacks using multiple rocket launch systems, targeting both our military positions and civilian objects within our country. Unfortunately, there have been casualties and injuries among the civilian population as a result of Russian terrorist attacks. Private residential houses and other civilian infrastructure have also been damaged and destroyed.

Aerial attacks were carried out in the following locations: Stepne, Sumy region; Cherneshchyna, Kharkiv region; Novoiehorivka, Nevske, Luhansk region; Spirne, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, New York, Avdiivka, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Zolota Nyva, Urozhaine, Staromaiorske, and Zelene Pole in the Donetsk region; Verbove, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, and Novodanylivka, Zaporizhzhia region; Beryslav, Odradokamianka, Mykolaivka, Burhunka, Olhivka, Kherson region, and the city of Kherson.

Over 70 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions came under artillery fire.

Frontline situation

Ukraine's defense forces continue to defend the eastern and southern regions of Ukraine, conduct offensive operations in the Melitopol direction, and advance in the Bakhmut direction. They are defeating the enemy, gradually liberating temporarily occupied territories, and consolidating their positions on achieved frontlines.

In the area of responsibility of the North operational-strategic group in the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remains relatively unchanged.

In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in border areas, actively engaging in subversive activities to prevent the deployment of our forces to critical directions and increasing the density of mine and explosive obstacles along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group in the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions. In the Bakhmut direction, our defenders successfully repelled enemy attacks in areas east of Bohdanivka and southeast of Bila Hora in the Donetsk region. The enemy attempted to regain lost positions in the Klishchiivka area of the Donetsk region but was unsuccessful.

In the area of responsibility of the Tavria operational-strategic group in the Avdiivka direction, defense forces successfully maintain their positions on occupied frontlines and repelled enemy attacks in the area of Avdiivka in Donetsk region.

In the Maryinka direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the Maryinka area of the Donetsk region, making 14 unsuccessful attempts to displace our units from their positions.

Meanwhile, in the Shakhtarsk direction, our defenders continue to hold their positions on occupied frontlines, protecting our land from the occupiers.

In the Melitopol direction, defense forces continue their offensive operation. Our defenders successfully repelled enemy attacks in the area of the settlement of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region and continue to consolidate their positions on the occupied frontlines.

In the area of responsibility of the Odesa operational-strategic group in the Kherson direction, defense forces continue counter-battery combat, destroying depots and successfully targeting the rear areas of the enemy.

Enemy losses

During the past day, the defense forces' aviation conducted 8 strikes on areas of enemy personnel concentration, armament, and military equipment.

Missile troops inflicted damage on 2 anti-aircraft missile complexes, 4 artillery pieces, and 1 enemy ammunition depot.
