Russia-Ukraine war: Situation on the front as of September 14

Ukrainian military forces are conducting defensive operations in the east and launching offensive operations in the south. Over the past day, there have been 29 combat clashes, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Enemy attacks
During the night, the occupiers attacked Ukraine with 22 Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones, of which 17 were destroyed by Ukrainian air defense means.
The enemy carried out 2 missile and 92 aviation strikes and conducted 42 shelling attacks using rocket artillery systems, targeting both our military positions and civilian objects in our country.
According to updated information, yesterday the occupiers attacked Ukraine with 47 Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones, of which 35 were destroyed by Ukrainian air defense means.
Unfortunately, there have been casualties and injuries among the civilian population due to Russian terrorist attacks. Port infrastructure, private residential houses, and other civilian infrastructure have suffered damage and destruction.
Aerial strikes affected the populated areas of Morokhovets, Pletenivka, Petropavlivka in the Kharkiv region; Stepok in the Sumy region; Novoselivske, Novoiehorivka, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region; Siversk, Spirne, Kurdiumivka, Krasnohorivka, New York in the Donetsk region; Robotyne, Zapasne in the Zaporizhzhia region; Odradokamianka, Prydniprovske in the Kherson region.
Approximately 100 populated areas in the Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions came under artillery fire.
Frontline situation
In the area of responsibility of the North operational-strategic group in the Volyn and Polissya directions, the operational situation remains relatively unchanged.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy continues to maintain troop concentrations to cover the state border, actively engaging in subversive activities in border areas to prevent the redeployment of our forces to critical areas and increasing the density of mine-explosive obstacles along the state border in the Belgorod region.
In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group in the Kupiansk and Bakhmut directions, the enemy persists in attempting to breach the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in areas north-east of Berestove in the Kharkiv region, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, and Bohdanivka in the Donetsk region. Ukrainian defense forces have achieved partial success in the areas of Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, and Kurdiumivka in the Donetsk region, inflicting significant casualties on the enemy in terms of personnel and equipment.
In the area of responsibility of the Tavria operational-strategic group, our defenders continue to hold the defense of Maryinka, where the enemy made 14 unsuccessful attempts to dislodge our units from their positions during the past day. Additionally, all enemy attacks in the areas of Mala Tokmachka and Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region resulted in significant losses for the occupiers in terms of personnel and equipment.
Meanwhile, in the Avdiivka, Maryinka, and Shakhtarsk directions, the defense forces continue to maintain the initiative, exerting pressure on the enemy, conducting assault operations, and reclaiming our territory.
In the Melitopol direction, the defense forces continue their offensive operation, inflicting significant casualties on the occupying forces in terms of personnel and equipment.
In the area of responsibility of the Odesa operational-strategic group in the Kherson direction, the defense forces continue to engage in counter-battery combat, destroy depots, and successfully strike at the enemy's rear positions.
Advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The Ukrainian defense forces continue to defend the east and south of Ukraine, conduct offensive operations in the Melitopol direction, and advance step by step to liberate temporarily occupied territories, consolidating their positions on achieved frontlines.
Enemy losses
During the past day, the Ukrainian defense forces' aviation delivered 12 strikes on areas of enemy personnel and military equipment concentration and 2 strikes on enemy anti-aircraft missile complexes.
Units of rocket troops and artillery, as well as unmanned systems, struck 1 command post, 1 anti-aircraft complex, 1 area of enemy personnel and military equipment concentration, 15 artillery pieces, 2 ammunition depots, and the enemy's electronic warfare station.
