Russia-Ukraine war: Situation on the front as of September 12

During the past 24 hours, there have been 30 combat clashes on the frontlines. The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 2 artillery pieces, 1 personnel and equipment concentration area, 1 enemy command post, and 1 ammunition depot, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Enemy attacks
The enemy launched 10 missiles and 53 aviation strikes, conducting over 56 shelling incidents from rocket artillery systems, targeting both our military positions and civilian objects within our state.
The adversary continues to disregard laws and rules of warfare, employing tactics reminiscent of the Kremlin's terrorism strategies. Unfortunately, as a result of such terrorist actions by Russian occupation forces, there are casualties and injuries among the civilian population, residential buildings have been destroyed, and civil infrastructure has suffered damage. Specifically, peaceful residents of Kryvyi Rih in the Dnipropetrovsk region were affected by cynical missile strikes.
During the past day, Russia attacked our nation with 12 kamikaze drones of the Shahed-136/131 type. All 12 of these strike UAVs were successfully eliminated by the efforts and means of Ukraine's air defense.
The frontline situation
The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains quite challenging.
In the zone of responsibility of the Ukrainian Joint Forces Operation "North" in the Volyn and Polissya directions, the operational situation has seen no significant changes.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy conducted an airstrike in the Leonivka area of Chernihiv region. They also carried out more than 15 artillery and mortar shelling incidents targeting civilian infrastructure and the population in the front-line regions.
In the area of responsibility of the Ukrainian Joint Forces Operation "Khortytsia" in the Kupiansk, Lyman, and Bakhmut directions, the enemy conducted aerial strikes near Synkivka, Ivanivka in the Kharkiv region, as well as in Nadiya, Novoyehorivka, Dibrova, and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region. The occupiers continue their attempts to break through the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the areas of Novoselivka in the Luhansk region, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, and Klischiivka in the Donetsk region. More than 15 populated areas were affected by numerous artillery and mortar shelling incidents.
In the area of responsibility of the Ukrainian Joint Forces Operation "Tavriya" in the Avdiivka, Maryinka, and Shakhtarsk directions, the enemy conducted aerial strikes near Avdiivka, Prechystivka, Urozhaine, and Staromayorske in the Donetsk region. More than 15 populated areas were affected by numerous artillery and mortar shelling incidents. The occupiers unsuccessfully attempted to break through the defense of our defenders in the areas of Avdiivka, Maryinka, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy conducted aerial strikes in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Omelnyk, Robotyne, and Novodanylivka in the Zaporizhzhia region. More than 20 populated areas were affected by numerous artillery and mortar shelling incidents.
In the Melitopol direction, the Ukrainian Joint Forces continue their offensive operation, inflicting significant losses on the occupying forces in personnel and equipment. In turn, the enemy attempts to replenish their units, continuing numerous assault actions against our troops' positions.
Ukrainian soldiers bravely maintain their defense, repelling over 10 enemy attacks in the areas of Robotyne and Novodanylivka in the Zaporizhzhia region. They achieved success in the areas south and southeast of Robotyne and consolidate their positions on the reached front lines.
In the area under the responsibility of the Joint Forces "Odesa" in the Kherson direction, the enemy carried out aviation strikes in the regions of Odradokamianka in the Kherson region and Kryvyi Rih in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Numerous artillery and mortar shelling affected more than 10 frontline settlements. Defense forces continue counter-battery warfare, destroy supply depots, and inflict damage on the enemy in its rear.
Enemy losses
During the past day, the defense forces' aviation conducted 7 strikes on the areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weaponry, and military equipment.
Units of rocket troops and artillery, as well as unmanned systems, struck 12 artillery pieces, 1 area of concentration of enemy personnel, weaponry, and military equipment, 1 command post, and 1 ammunition depot of the enemy.
