Russia-Ukraine war: Situation on the front as of September 7

As a result of the storming operations, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have achieved partial success to the south of Bakhmut. Additionally, the Ukrainian military conducted 18 airstrikes against the occupiers. In the past day, there have been 39 combat clashes, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Enemy attacks
Today, during the night, the Russian Federation carried out another aviation strike on Ukraine, using Iranian combat drones Shahed-136/131. Information regarding the consequences of this terrorist attack is currently being clarified.
The enemy launched 10 missile strikes, conducted 69 aviation attacks, and executed 51 shelling operations with multiple rocket launcher systems on the positions of our forces and populated areas. The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains complex.
The frontline situation
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remains relatively stable.
On the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy carried out an aviation strike in the vicinity of the village of Hraniv in the Kharkiv region. More than 25 populated areas, including Hremiach in the Chernihiv region, Velyka Pysarivka, Kruzhok, Kamianka, Pokrovka, Ponomarenky, Chernatske in the Sumy region, and Veterynarne, Ambarne, Hatysche, Varvariivka in the Kharkiv region, were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy conducted aviation strikes in the areas of Synkivka, Kotliarivka, and Krokhmalne in the Kharkiv region. Artillery and mortar shelling targeted Kolodyazne, Kyslivka, Kupyansk, and Berestove in the Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled enemy attacks in the Novoehorivka area of the Luhansk region. The enemy conducted aviation strikes near Druzheliubivka in the Kharkiv region, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, Yampolivka, and Vesele in the Donetsk region.
More than 10 populated areas, including Nevske, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, and Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, Torske, Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region, were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Bakhmut direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled enemy attacks near Orikhovo-Vasylivka in the Donetsk region. The enemy conducted aviation strikes in the vicinity of Khromove, Ivanivka, Klishchiivka, and Pivnichne in the Donetsk region.
Over 20 populated areas, including Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bila Hora, Ivanivske, Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka, New York, and Pivnichne in the Donetsk region, were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.
At the same time, as a result of offensive actions, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have achieved partial success to the south of Bakhmut. They are pushing the enemy out of their positions and consolidating on the achieved frontlines.
In the Avdiivka direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled enemy attacks in the Avdiivka area. Additionally, the enemy conducted an aviation strike. More than 15 populated areas, including Oleksandrivka, Keramik, Nevelske, Karlivka, Stepove, Avdiivka, and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region, were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Maryinka direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the Russian advance in the area of Maryinka in the Donetsk region. The enemy conducted an aviation strike near Krasnohorivka. Over 15 populated areas, including Krasnohorivka, Paraskeviivka, Katerynivka, and Yelyzavetivka in the Donetsk region, were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy carried out aviation strikes in the areas of Novoukrainka, Zolota Nyva, and Urozhaine. Over 15 populated areas, including Vodyane, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Shakhtarsk, Zolota Nyva, Blahodatne, and Urozhaine in the Donetsk region, were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy conducted aviation strikes in the areas of Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region. Over 15 populated areas, including Olhivske, Levadne, Hulyaipole, Hulyaipilske, Charivne, and Chervone in the Zaporizhzhia region, were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy carried out an aviation strike near Olhivka. Artillery and mortar shelling affected Zmiivka, Antonivka, and Kherson in the Kherson region.
Offensive by Ukrainian Armed Forces
At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive operation in the Melitopol direction, successfully destroying the enemy and gradually liberating the occupied territories.
Enemy losses
During the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 18 strikes targeting enemy personnel, weaponry, military equipment concentrations, and anti-aircraft missile systems positions.
Rocket troops and artillery units successfully struck 4 ammunition depots, 12 artillery systems, 2 command posts, 1 anti-aircraft missile complex, 1 radio-electronic warfare station, 2 concentrations of enemy personnel, weaponry, and military equipment areas.
