Russia-Ukraine war: Situation on the front as of August 27

The Russian occupiers continue to carry out unsuccessful advances on two fronts, states the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Facebook.
Russian attacks
During the night, the enemy launched another missile strike from an airbase. As a result of successful combat operations by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, four cruise missiles were destroyed.
Over the course of the day, the enemy carried out 11 missile strikes and 32 aerial strikes, conducting 38 rocket artillery attacks on the positions of our forces and populated areas using multiple rocket launchers.
Unfortunately, due to Russian terrorist attacks, there have been casualties and injuries among the civilian population. Residential buildings, schools, and other civilian infrastructure have also been damaged.
The probability of missile and aerial strikes across the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.
The frontline situation
During the past 24 hours, there were 23 military clashes.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remains relatively stable.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy conducted an aviation strike in the vicinity of Kondrativka, Sumy region. They also carried out mortar and artillery shelling of more than 25 populated areas, including Hrinivka, Klyusy, Liskivschyna in Chernihiv region, as well as Seredyna-Buda, Vilna Sloboda, Semeykyne, Volfyne, Kondrativka, Sadky in Sumy region, and Okip, Strilecha, Oliinykove, Hatysche, Nesterne in Kharkiv region.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy conducted aviation strikes in the areas of Nadiya, Tverdokhlibove, and Miasozharivka in the Luhansk region. Populated areas like Kamianka, Synkivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka, and Berestove in the Kharkiv region were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling by the enemy.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Novoehorivka, Luhansk region. More than 10 populated areas, including Karmazynivka, Nevske, Chervonopopivka, Kreminna, Kuzmine in the Luhansk region, and Torske, Dibrova, Spirne in the Donetsk region, were subjected to enemy artillery shelling.
In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Klishchiivka, Donetsk region. More than 10 populated areas, including Vasyukivka, Markove, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Bila Hora, and New York in the Donetsk region, suffered from enemy artillery shelling.
In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy's artillery and mortar shelling targeted Keramik, Novokalynove, Avdiivka, Karlivka, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region.
In the Maryinka direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to contain the Russian military advance in the area of Maryinka, Donetsk region. The enemy conducted an aviation strike in the Krasnohorivka area of the Donetsk region.
Populated areas including Oleksandrivka, Hoste, Maryinka, Pobeda, Paraskeviivka, and Vodiane in the Donetsk region were subjected to enemy artillery shelling.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy carried out an aviation strike in the area of Zolota Niva, Donetsk region. Populated areas including Bohoiavlennia, Shakhtarske, Vremivka, Stari Maistri, and Rivnopil in the Donetsk region were affected by enemy artillery shelling.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy conducted aviation strikes in the areas of Malaya Tokmachka, Robotyne, and Novodanylivka, Zaporizhzhia region. Over 20 populated areas, including Novoandriivka, Olhivske, Chervone, Huliaipilske, Yehorivka, and Mali Shcherbaky, in the Zaporizhzhia region were affected by enemy artillery shelling.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy carried out aviation strikes in the areas of Mykolaivka, Mykilske, and Antonivka, Kherson region. Over 10 populated areas, including Zmiyivka, Tomaryne, Burhunka, Tyahynka, Kherson, Bilozirka, and others, were subjected to enemy artillery shelling.
Offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
At the same time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue their offensive operation on the Melitopol direction, consolidate their positions on the achieved frontlines, and carry out counter-battery measures.
Russian losses
The aircraft of the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out 10 strikes on areas with the concentration of enemy personnel during the day, and one strike was conducted on the enemy's anti-aircraft missile complexes.
The units of the missile troops and artillery struck one ammunition depot and two radio-electronic warfare stations during the day.
