Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of January 25

During the day, Ukrainian defense forces have repelled numerous Russian attacks across multiple sectors of the front, with intense shelling and assault attempts keeping the line under constant pressure, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As of 4 PM on January 25, sixty-six combat engagements have been recorded across the frontline.
Russian forces continue shelling and airstrikes on settlements in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, including the Karpovychi, Zaliznyi Mist, Leonivka, Kucherivka, Bila Bereza, and other settlements.
Northern-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions: The enemy launched an attempted assault and two airstrikes, dropping three aerial bombs, while shelling Ukrainian positions and settlements 45 times.
Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction: Russian forces attacked near Prylipky, Starytsia, and Izbytske settlements three times.
Kupiansk direction: Four combat engagements occurred as the enemy attempted to advance toward Pishchane and Petropavlivka settlements.
Lyman direction: Ukrainian troops repelled ten attacks near the settlements of Serhiivka, Drobysheve, Kolodiazi, Novoselivka, and Zarichne, with one attack ongoing.
Sloviansk direction: No combat engagements were recorded.
Kramatorsk direction: Fighting continues near Orikhovo-Vasylivka settlement.
Kostiantynivka direction: The enemy launched six attacks near the Pleshchiivka, Kleban-Byk, Shcherbynivka, Kostiantynivka, and Sofiivka settlements, with one attack ongoing.
Pokrovsk direction: Russian forces attempted 24 times to advance on Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Shakhove, Dorozhne, Rodynske, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiia, and Novopavlivka.
Oleksandrivka direction: The enemy attacked four times near the settlements of Zelenyi Hai, Verbove, Krasnohirske, and toward the Nove Zaporizhzhia settlement.
Huliaipole direction: Ukrainian defenders repelled nine attacks near the settlements of Solodke, Huliaipole, Dorozhnianka, and toward the settlements of Varvarivka, Zelene, and Pryluky. Russian aviation also struck the settlements of Zelene, Rizdvianka, Nove Pole, and Zirnytsia.
Orikhiv direction: Fighting continues near the settlements of Plavni and Stepove, while in the Prydniprovskyi direction, Ukrainian forces repelled an attack toward the Antonivskyi Bridge.
Other directions faced no significant changes. Ukrainian troops continue to wear down the enemy along the entire front and in the rear, maintaining control of key positions.
Russia's losses in Ukraine
According to the General Staff of Ukrainian Armed Forces, since the start of the full-scale war, Russia has suffered approximately 1,234,040 personnel losses.
In the past 24 hours, Russia lost 1,020 troops.
Ukrainian defense forces also destroyed two tanks, one armored combat vehicle, 32 artillery systems, one multiple rocket launcher, three air defense systems, 15 missiles, 847 operational-tactical drones, and 115 enemy vehicles.
