Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of January 25

Over the past 24 hours, on January 24, there were 127 combat engagements along the front. Russian forces were most active on the Pokrovsk direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, the invaders carried out three missile and 95 airstrikes across Ukraine, launching 25 missiles and dropping 248 guided bombs.
In addition, they deployed 7,503 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,720 strikes on Ukrainian positions and settlements, including 112 from multiple launch rocket systems.
The aggressor conducted airstrikes with guided bombs on the settlements of Zirnytsia, Zaliznychne, Verkhnia Tersa, Lybytske, Vozdvyzhivka, and Preobrazhenka in Zaporizhzhia region.
Over the past day, Ukraine’s missile forces and artillery struck five enemy concentration areas.
Situation by direction
In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out two airstrikes, dropping seven guided bombs, and conducted 107 strikes on Ukrainian positions and settlements, two of which were from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy launched six assaults on Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Starytsia, Vovchansky Khutory, Fygolivka, and toward the settlements of Kruhlye and Chuhunivka.
In the Kupiansk direction, there were two enemy attacks. Ukrainian forces repelled assaults near the settlement of Pishchane and toward Kurylivka.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked six times, attempting to advance near the settlements of Drobytsheve, Zarichne, Torske, and toward Druzhlyubivka.
In the Sloviansk direction, near the settlement of Zvanivka, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions once.
In the Kramatorsk direction, two combat clashes were recorded near the settlements of Orikhovo-Vasylivka and Markove.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 13 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Kleban-Bik, Pleshchiivka, Shcherbynivka, Yablunivka, Rusyn Yar, Sofiivka, and toward Stepanivka and Novopavlivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 44 enemy assault and offensive actions near Pokrovsk, Myrnohrad, Rodynske, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiya, and toward Bilytske, Dorozhne, Shevchenko, Hryshyne, and Ivanivka.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions four times near Zelenyi Hai and Zlahoda.
In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy attempted to advance 16 times near Huliaipole, Myrne, and toward Sviatopetrivka, Novo Zaporizhzhia, Dobropillia, Zelenyi, Varvarivka, and Zaliznychne.
In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled two attacks near Plavni and Prymorske.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy carried out one failed assault.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of enemy offensive formations were detected.
Russian losses in the war
According to the General Staff, since the start of the full-scale war, Russia has lost approximately 1,234,040 personnel.
Over the past day, Russian losses amounted to 1,020 troops.
Ukrainian forces also destroyed two tanks, one armored combat vehicle, 32 artillery systems, one multiple launch rocket system, three air defense systems, 15 missiles, 847 operational-tactical drones, and 115 enemy vehicles.
