As of 10:00 p.m. Kyiv time on Thursday, January 15, 161 combat engagements took place along the front line. The highest number of enemy assaults - 41 - occurred in the Pokrovsk direction, according to a report by the General Staff on Telegram.

Russian forces carried out two missile strikes and 63 airstrikes, using three missiles and 160 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the Russian army launched 4,876 kamikaze drone attacks and conducted 2,464 shelling attacks on the positions of the Defense Forces and populated areas.

Situation on the front lines

In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, one Russian attack was repelled. The enemy carried out an airstrike, dropping two guided aerial bombs, and conducted 87 shelling attacks, including three using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).

In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, 11 combat engagements were recorded in the areas of the settlements of Vovchansk, Prylipka, Tykhe, Starytsia, Vovchanski Khutory, as well as toward the settlements of Izbytske, Kruhle, and Nesterne. Three battles are still ongoing.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy carried out five assaults toward Pishchane, Kurylivka, Petropavlivka, and Bohuslavka. Two engagements are still underway.

In the Lyman direction, the Russian army launched 17 assaults in the areas of Zarichne, Novoselivka, Torske, and toward Lyman, Stavky, Druzhkivka, Oleksandrivka, Dibrova, and Drobysheve. One battle is ongoing.

In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled five enemy attacks in the areas of Siversk, Platonivka, and toward Zakitne.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the Defense Forces repelled four attacks in the areas of Vasiukivka, Fedorivka, and toward Pryvillia and Minkivka.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian forces launched 21 assaults in the areas of the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Rusyn Yar, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, and toward Novopavlivka, Stepanivka, and Sofiivka. One battle is still ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy carried out 41 assaults in the areas of Nykanorivka, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novoserhiivka, Molodetske, Filiia, and toward Rodynske, Nove Shakhove, and Sukhetske.

Over the past day in this direction, 87 Russian soldiers were eliminated and 49 were wounded. Ukrainian forces destroyed one motorcycle, three quad bikes, 30 drones, two vehicles, nine pieces of special equipment, and one enemy shelter. In addition, six vehicles, one electronic warfare system, a ground robotic complex, and nine enemy shelters were damaged.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, Russian forces carried out nine assaults near Vyshneve and toward the settlements of Ivanivka, Oleksandrohrad, Yehorivka, Rybne, Zlahoda, Andriivka-Klevtsove, and Nove Zaporizhzhia. One engagement is still ongoing.

In the Huliaipole direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 25 enemy attacks in the areas of Solodke, Huliaipole, and toward Dobropillia, Olenokostiantynivka, Zelene, and Varvarivka. In addition, Russia carried out airstrikes on Rizdvianka, Samiilivka, Hirske, Vozdvyzhivka, Zaliznychne, and Huliaipole.

In the Orikhiv direction, five combat engagements took place in the areas of Prymorske, Stepnohirsk, Stepove, and Kamianske. Additionally, Russian forces launched airstrikes on the settlements of Orikhiv, Tavriiske, and Preobrazhenka.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Russian troops carried out one unsuccessful assault on the positions of Ukrainian defenders.

Russia’s losses in the war

According to the General Staff, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost approximately 1,223,090 military personnel. In particular, 1,150 Russian troops were eliminated over the past day.
