Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of January 11

Overall, 173 combat engagements were recorded along the entire front line over the past day, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, yesterday the invaders carried out 56 airstrikes and dropped 156 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they used 7,050 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,750 shelling attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas, including 82 strikes from multiple launch rocket systems.
Airstrikes hit, in particular, the areas of the following settlements:
- Samiilivka, Tavriiske in the Zaporizhzhia region;
- Novoukrainka in the Donetsk region.
Situation on the fronts
In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk direction, three combat engagements took place over the past day. The enemy carried out two airstrikes, dropping five aerial bombs, and conducted 98 shelling attacks, including seven from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, Ukrainian forces stopped six enemy attacks near the settlement of Vovchansk and toward the settlements of Hrafske and Vilcha.
In the Kupiansk direction, nine enemy attacks were recorded yesterday. Ukrainian defenders repelled the enemy’s assault actions toward Kupiansk, Petropavlivka, Kurylivka, Pishchane, and Bohuslavka.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked ten times, attempting to break into Ukrainian defenses toward the settlement of Druzhliubivka and near the settlements of Drobyshcheve, Serednie, Novoselivka, and Zarichne.
In the Sloviansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled three enemy attacks near Dronivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy did not conduct any offensive actions.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 13 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Rusyn Yar, and Shcherbynivka, as well as toward Sofiivka and Torske.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 47 assault actions by the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Zatyshok, Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Nykanorivka, as well as toward Novopavlivka, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Serhiivka, Bilytske, and Filiia.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy carried out 14 attacks yesterday in the areas of the settlements of Zlahoda, Rybne, Solodke, Sichneve, as well as toward the settlements of Oleksiivka, Sosnivka, and Vyshneve.
In the Huliaipole direction, the Defense Forces repelled 23 Russian attacks in the areas of the settlements of Huliaipole, Varvarivka, Zelene, Dorozhnianka, as well as toward Dobropillia, Olenokostiantynivka, and Sviatopetrivka.
In the Orikhiv direction, over the past day Ukrainian soldiers repelled one enemy attack near Stepove.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Ukrainian units repelled one Russian attack toward the Antonivskyi Bridge.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groupings were detected.
Enemy losses
Over the past day, aviation of the Defense Forces struck three areas of concentration of enemy personnel, a command post, and an engineering structure.
Overall, Russian invaders' losses over the past day amounted to 1,130 personnel.
Ukrainian forces also destroyed 11 tanks, three armored combat vehicles, 44 artillery systems, one multiple launch rocket system, 654 operational-tactical level UAVs, and 134 units of enemy automotive equipment.
