Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of December 13

Over the past day, December 12, a total of 178 combat engagements took place along the front line. The highest number of enemy attacks was recorded in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Overall, 178 combat engagements were recorded over the past day.
According to the General Staff, yesterday the enemy carried out one missile strike and 40 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, using three missiles and dropping 103 guided aerial bombs. In addition, 4,687 loitering munitions were used, and 4,061 shelling attacks were carried out against the positions of Ukrainian forces and populated areas, including 116 from multiple launch rocket systems.
The aggressor also carried out air strikes, in particular on areas near the settlements of Dobropasove, Velykomykhailivka, and Bratske in the Dnipropetrovsk region, as well as Huliaipole and Rizdvianivka in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Missile forces and artillery units of the Defense Forces struck an enemy UAV control point and two command-and-observation posts.
Situation on the directions
In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out 177 shelling attacks, including three from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, Ukrainian troops repelled five enemy attacks near the settlements of Vovchansk, Synelnykove, Kolodiazne, Dvorichanske, and toward Kolodiazne.
In the Kupiansk direction, five enemy attacks were recorded yesterday. Ukrainian defenders repelled assault actions near the settlements of Pishchane and Nova Kruhliakivka, as well as toward Kurylivka and Kupiansk.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 25 times, attempting to break through Ukrainian defenses near the settlements of Serednie, Zarichne, Drobyshcheve, and toward Druzhliubivka, Novoserhiivka, Novyi Myr, Stavky, Oleksandrivka, Novoselivka, Lyman, and Chervonyi Stav.
In the Sloviansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled seven enemy attacks near Torske, Siversk, Serebrianka, Pereizne, and Yampil.
In the Kramatorsk direction, four combat engagements took place near Chasiv Yar and toward the settlements of Pryvillia and Minkivka.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 26 attacks near the settlements of Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Yablunivka, Rusyn Yar, and toward Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Stepanivka, and Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 42 enemy assault actions near the settlements of Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Nykanorivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, and Filiia, as well as toward Dorozhnie, Bilytske, Myrnohrad, Novopavlivka, Sukhetske, Rivne, Hryshyne, and Leontovychi.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy carried out 18 attacks near the settlements of Vorone, Pryvillia, Verbove, Oleksiivka, Pryvilne, Zelenyi Hai, and toward Oleksandrohrad, Vyshneve, Rybne, Krasnohirskе, Sosnivka, and Zlahoda.
In the Huliaipole direction, the Defense Forces repelled 17 Russian attacks near the settlements of Pryvillia and Solodke, as well as toward Dobropillia, Huliaipole, and Novo Zaporizhzhia.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy made two unsuccessful attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses near the settlements of Prymorske and Novoandriivka.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy carried out four unsuccessful offensive actions near the Antonivskyi Bridge.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of enemy offensive group formations were detected.
Russia's losses in the war
According to the General Staff, since the start of the full-scale war, Russia has lost approximately 1,187,780 military personnel.
In particular, over the past day, Russian losses amounted to 1,300 personnel.
Ukrainian forces also destroyed three tanks, nine armored combat vehicles, 24 artillery systems, one multiple launch rocket system, two air defense systems, 283 operational-tactical UAVs, 103 vehicles, and two units of special equipment belonging to the occupiers.
