Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of December 3

Over the past day, December 2, 201 combat clashes were recorded on the front line. Russians continue to actively storm the Pokrovsk direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, yesterday Russia launched one missile and 52 air strikes, used one missile, and dropped 153 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it carried out 3,787 shellings, including 50 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 4,406 kamikaze drones.
Russia carried out air strikes, in particular, on the areas of the settlements of Kupiansk, Kivsharivka in the Kharkiv region; Pokrovske, Mykhailo-Zavodske, Danylivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region; Yasnohirka in the Donetsk region; Dobropillia, Novoyakovlivka, Nove Zaporizhzhia, Huliaipole, Vozdvyzhivka, Zaliznychne in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck three areas where Russian personnel, weapons, and military equipment were concentrated.
Situation on the fronts
On the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven Russian attacks. Over the past day, Russia carried out 163 shellings, including two with multiple launch rocket systems.
In the South-Slobozhanskyi direction, Ukrainian troops stopped 15 Russian attacks in the areas of the settlements of Prylipka, Starytsia, Synelnykove, Vovchansk, and in the direction of Kolodiazne and Izbytske.
Yesterday, there were eight attacks by the invaders in the Kupiansk direction. Ukrainian defenders repelled Russian assaults in the areas of the settlements of Senkivka, Petropavlivka, Pishchane, and Nova Kruhliakivka.
In the Lyman direction, Russia attacked 31 times, trying to break through Ukraine's defenses in the areas of the settlements of Novovodiane, Novoyehorivka, Hrekivka, Novomykhailivka, Serednie, Karpivka, Shandryholove, Kolodiazi, Myrne, Zarichne, and in the direction of Stepove.
In the Sloviansk direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 12 Russian attacks near Yampil, Dronivka, Serebrianka, Siversk, and Fedorivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, no combat engagements were recorded over the past day.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, Russia carried out 27 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, Shcherbinivka, Yablunivka, and Rusyn Yar.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 52 Russian assaults in the areas of the settlements of Volodymyrivka, Maiak, Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Novoekonomichne, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetsk, Dachne, and in the direction of Novopavlivka.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, Russia carried out 18 attacks yesterday in the areas of the settlements of Yalta, Tovste, Zelenyi Hai, Oleksandrohrad, Sosnivka, Verbove, Krasnohirsk, and Pryvilne.
Five combat clashes were recorded in the Huliaipole direction, with Russia advancing in the areas of the settlements of Zatyshshia, Huliaipole, and towards the settlement of Pryluky.
In the Orikhiv direction, Russians did not conduct any offensive actions over the past day.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Ukrainian units repelled one Russian assault attempt in the area of the Antonivskyi Bridge.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of Russian offensive groups were detected.
Russia's losses in war
According to Ukraine's General Staff, Russia has lost approximately 1,176,230 military personnel since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
In total, Russia lost 1,200 personnel over the past day.
Ukrainian soldiers also destroyed six Russian tanks, three armored combat vehicles, 12 artillery systems, three multiple launch rocket systems, 90 tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles, 47 vehicles, and one piece of special equipment.
