By the evening of December 2, the situation on the front line remains tense: Russian units continue to increase pressure in several directions, actively employing aircraft and drones, according to a report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Throughout the day, there were 191 combat engagements. Russian forces carried out one missile strike and 39 airstrikes, using one missile and 113 guided aerial bombs.

A total of 2,052 kamikaze drones were also deployed, and 2,634 attacks were carried out on positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian infrastructure.

In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian units repelled seven enemy attacks. A total of 135 attacks were recorded during the day, including one involving a multiple-launch rocket system.

In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 13 attacks in the areas of Prylypky, Starytsia, Synelnykove, Vovchansk, as well as toward Kolodiazne and Izbytske. Two more engagements are ongoing.

In the Kupiansk direction, 12 attacks were repelled in the areas of Senkivka, Petroplavlivka, Pishchane, and Nova Kruhliakivka; four battles are ongoing. An airstrike was carried out on Kupiansk.

In the Lyman direction, the Russian army attempted 30 times to assault Defense Forces positions near Novovodiane, Novoiehorivka, Hrekivka, Shandryholove, and other settlements. Two combat engagements are ongoing.

In the Sloviansk direction, 11 attacks were repelled. No fighting was recorded in the Kramatorsk direction.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian forces attempted 27 times to breach the defense, concentrating their efforts near Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, Shcherbynivka, Yablunivka, and Rusyn Yar.

In the Pokrovsk direction, during the day, 48 attacks were recorded in the areas of Volodymyrivka, Mayak, Rodynske, Krasnyi Lyman, Pokrovsk, and other settlements.

Ukrainian forces eliminated 130 occupiers, including 90 irreversibly, destroyed 19 drones, five vehicles, a tank, and an armored fighting vehicle; they also damaged another piece of equipment and struck five enemy shelters.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, 18 attacks were recorded, and in the Huliaipole direction, five.

In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy conducted no offensive actions.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, one attempt to advance near the Antonivskyi Bridge was repelled.

Russian forces continue to carry out targeted strikes on Ukraine, focusing on key energy and defense facilities, while Kremlin-controlled media report that Valery Gerasimov has presented Vladimir Putin with a report on the implementation of the so-called General Staff plan, which envisions a series of large-scale retaliatory attacks on pre-selected targets.

The administration in Washington is stepping up a new diplomatic format, bringing in representatives who were previously not involved in international negotiations, seeking to accelerate progress in this area.
