Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of November 29

As of 10:00 PM Kyiv time on November 29, there have been 260 combat engagements on the front since the start of the day, with the highest number recorded again in the Pokrovsk direction, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
Today, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions and settlements with one missile and 33 airstrikes, deploying 36 missiles and dropping 86 guided bombs. They also carried out 2,697 artillery strikes and 2,509 kamikaze drone attacks.
Frontline situation
In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian forces repelled two Russian assault actions. The enemy also conducted seven airstrikes, dropping 15 guided bombs, and carried out 138 attacks on Ukrainian positions and settlements, including six from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled nine Russian attacks near Vovchansk, Prilipka, Vovchanski Khutory, Kolodiazne, and toward Kutkivka.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces attempted 11 times to push Ukrainian units from positions near Pishchane, Kolisnykivka, Novoplatonivka, and toward Nova Kruhliakivka, Hlushkivka, and Petropavlivka.
In the Lyman direction, Russian forces launched 22 attacks trying to advance near Novoyehorivka, Kopanki, Novovodiane, Serednie, Karpivka, Derylove, Novoselivka, Kolodiazi, Zarichne, and toward Stepove. Eight combat engagements are ongoing.
In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled nine Russian attacks near Yampil and Serebrianka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully stopped four Russian attempts to advance near Chasiv Yar, Novomarkove, and Vasiukivka.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian forces tried 23 times to breach Ukrainian defenses near Oleksandro-Shultyne, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Yablunivka, Rusyn Yar, and toward Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces carried out 76 assault and offensive actions near Volodymyrivka, Maiak, Chervonyi Lyman, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Novoekonomichne, Pokrovsk, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Novoserhiivka, and Filiia. Fighting is ongoing in two locations.
"Preliminary estimates indicate that Ukrainian soldiers eliminated 142 Russian personnel in this direction, including 108 irreversibly. Eight vehicles and eight drones were destroyed. In addition, three vehicles were damaged, a drone control point was hit, and three personnel shelters were destroyed," the General Staff reported.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 44 Russian attacks near Zelenyi Hai, Tovste, Sosnivka, Oleksandrohrad, Sichneve, Vyshneve, Pryvillia, and Rybne.
In the Huliaipole direction, 15 combat engagements were recorded near Pryvilne, Solodke, and toward Huliaipole.
In the Orikhiv direction, Russian forces carried out 10 offensive actions since the start of the day near Stepnohirsk, Stepove, and toward Mala Tokmachka and Novoandriivka.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, no combat engagements have been recorded so far.
Russian losses in the war against Ukraine
Russian forces continue to lose personnel and equipment. From November 28 to 29 alone, the enemy lost 910 soldiers in battles against Ukraine. In addition, Ukrainian forces destroyed 15 armored vehicles, 64 vehicles, and 106 drones.
Since the start of the full-scale war, Russia has lost over 1.1 million personnel in combat against Ukraine, and this number may reach a new milestone soon.
