Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of November 22

On November 21, there were 250 combat clashes on the front line during the day. Russians continue to actively storm the Pokrovsk direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia launched two missile strikes, two rockets, 35 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, and dropped 104 guided bombs. In addition, Russia carried out 3,843 shellings, 114 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems, and launched 3,578 suicide drones.
Russia carried out air strikes, in particular on the areas of the settlements of Huliaipole in the Zaporizhzhia region and Prydniprovske in the Kherson region.
Over the past day, the missile forces and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck two areas of concentration of personnel and one other important Russian target.
Situation on the fronts
Over the past day, there were 20 combat clashes on the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk direction, and the enemy carried out 118 attacks on the positions of our troops and populated areas, including two with multiple launch rocket systems.
In the South-Slobozhanskyi direction, Russia attacked Ukrainian units' positions 12 times in the areas of Synelnykove, Vovchansk, and in the directions of Kolodiazne, Dvorichanske, and Kutkivka.
In the Kupiansk direction, there were 6 Russian attacks. Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled Russia's assault in the direction of Petropavlivka, Bohuslavka, and Pishchane.
In the Lyman direction, Russia attacked 23 times, trying to advance in the areas of the settlements of Kopanka, Hrekivka, Karpivka, Shandryholove, Novoselivka, Novomykhailivka, Torske, and in the directions of the settlements of Korovyn Yar, Novyi Myr, Shyikivka, Drobysheve, and Stavy.
In the Sloviansk direction, near Serebrianka, Dronivka, Vyimka, and in the directions of Siversk, Sviato-Pokrovske, Pazeno, and Zvanivka, Russians attacked the positions of Ukrainian troops 17 times.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Russia carried out two offensive actions near Chasiv Yar.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, Russia carried out 29 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, Shcherbynivka, Kleban-Byk, Rusyn Yar, Poltavka, and in the directions of Ivanopil, Berestka, Predtechyne, Stepanivka, and Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 66 Russian assaults and offensive actions in the areas of the settlements of Shakhove, Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Novoekonomichne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetsk, Novomykolaivka, Lysivka, Dachne, Filiia, and in the directions of the settlements of Nove Shakhove, Rivne, Myrnohrad, Hryshyne, and Novopavlivka.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, Russia attacked Ukrainian positions 31 times in the areas of the settlements of Ivanivka, Zelenyi Hai, Andriivka-Klevtsove, Yalta, Sichneve, Vorone, Stepove, Verbove, Pryvilne, Voskresenka, Krasnohirsk, and in the direction of Oleksiivka.
In the Huliaipole direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 10 Russian attacks in the Rivnopillia area and in the direction of Zatyshshia.
In the Orikhiv direction, Russia attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders eight times in the areas of Shcherbaky, Stepove, and in the directions of Mala Tokmachka, Novodanilivka, Novoandriivka, and Prymorske.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Russia conducted an attempt to approach the positions of Ukrainian units in the direction of the Antonivskyi Bridge.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of Russian offensive groups were detected.
Russia's losses
According to Ukraine's General Staff, Russia has lost approximately 1,163,440 military personnel since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
In total, the Russian losses over the past day amounted to 1,170 troops.
Ukrainian soldiers also destroyed 4 Russian tanks, 7 armored combat vehicles, 9 artillery systems, a multiple launch rocket system, one air defense system, 222 tactical-level drones, and 74 vehicles.
