Ukrainian defenders are holding back Russia's offensive on the front — as of 4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 10, 125 combat engagements had taken place, according to the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

During the day, enemy artillery struck Khrinivka in the Chernihiv region and several communities in the Sumy region. In particular, Kucherivka, Zarichne, and Bobylivka came under attack.

Situation by directions

In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled eight enemy attacks. In addition, Russian forces carried out 68 shellings of positions of our troops and populated areas, two of them from multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, the Russians launched eight attacks in the areas of Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, and Kamianka. Two combat engagements are still ongoing.

In the Kupiansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled eight enemy attacks in the areas of Pishchane, Petropavlivka, Kupiansk, and Hlushkivka. Two combat engagements are still ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, Russia carried out two attacks on the positions of Ukrainian defenders in the area of the settlement of Korovii Yar and in the direction of Lyman. One combat engagement is still ongoing.

In the Sloviansk direction, Russian forces tried six times to advance on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of Serebrianka and Dronivka.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy attempted ten times to break through the Ukrainian soldiers' defense in the areas of the settlements of Pleshchiivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Rusyn Yar, and Sofiivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, Russian forces have carried out 51 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Pankivka, Chervonyi Lyman, Rodynske, Mykhailivka, Novoekonomichne, Myrnohrad, Novopavlivka, Rivne, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiia, and Dachne. The Defense Forces are holding back the pressure and have already repelled 46 attacks. Five combat engagements are still ongoing.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine stopped four assault actions by Russian troops. One more engagement is still ongoing. The Russians tried to advance in the areas of the settlements of Ivanivka, Sosnivka, Vorone, Orestopil, and Yehorivka.

In the Huliaipole direction, the Defense Forces successfully repelled three enemy attacks in the area of Zelenyi Hai and toward the settlement of Rivnopillia.

In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled one enemy attack in the area of the settlement of Plavni. Another combat engagement is currently ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk and Prydniprovske directions, Russian forces did not conduct offensive actions.

The pace of the Russian offensive in Pokrovsk and around the city has temporarily slowed. Still, the enemy continues to attempt to block the logistical routes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Myrnohrad area.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia aims to capture Pokrovsk as soon as possible to create the impression that it is capable of establishing complete control over the Donbas (an industrial region in eastern Ukraine that encompasses Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts).
