As of 4:00 PM Kyiv time on November 1, 81 combat engagements have been recorded on the front since the start of the day. More than a third occurred in the Pokrovsk direction, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.

Russian shelling

The General Staff reported that Russian forces continue striking border settlements. Today, areas near Khodyne, Bobylivka, Bila Bereza, Starykove, Studenok, Brusky, and Bunyakine in the Sumy region were hit by enemy artillery.

Frontline situation

In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, four combat engagements have taken place since morning. The enemy also carried out three airstrikes, dropped nine guided bombs, and conducted 106 shellings of Ukrainian positions and settlements, including seven with multiple launch rocket systems. Ukrainian defenders carried out successful reconnaissance-strike operations, seized positions, and advanced about 200 meters in some sectors.

In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy attacked our defensive positions seven times near Vovchansk, Kamianka, and in the direction of Kolodiazne and Dvorichanske.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces have not conducted any offensive operations since the start of the day.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy launched four attacks near Koroviy Yar, Zarichne, and Stavky, and two combat engagements are ongoing.

In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled three enemy attempts to advance near Yampil, Dronivka, Serebrianka, Pereizne, and Fedorivka, while two other combat engagements remain ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy has not carried out offensive actions since morning.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, the Russian army attacked Ukrainian positions near Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, Sofiivka, and toward Kostiantynivka and Berestok. Ukrainian forces repelled ten attacks, while one attack is ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions 29 times near Shahove, Myrnohrad, Chervonyi Lyman, Rodynske, Novoekonomichne, Mykolaivka, Kozatske, Lysivka, Sukhy Yar, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Molodetske, Filiia, and Dachne, as well as in the direction of Pokrovsk and Hryshyne. Fighting continues in seven locations. Ukrainian forces are conducting effective counter-sabotage measures near Pokrovsk, and enemy losses are being confirmed.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, Ukrainian units repelled 12 attacks near Zelenyi Hai, Sichneve, Ternove, Verbove, Oleksiivka, Pavlivka, Rybne, and toward Danylivka. Two combat engagements remain ongoing.

In the Huliaipole direction, one combat engagement was recorded near Novomykolaivka. Airstrikes hit Huliaipole, Nechaivka, and Malynivka.

In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian forces repelled one enemy attack near Shcherbakiv, and another combat engagement is ongoing near Kamianske.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Ukrainian units repelled one enemy assault toward the Antonivskyi Bridge. Olhivka was hit by an airstrike.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, there were no signs of the enemy forming offensive groups.

Fighting in Pokrovsk and beyond

Earlier today, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi confirmed that a landing from the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (HUR) took place in Pokrovsk, and other troops are involved to push Russian forces out of the city.

He added that Ukrainian forces continue to hold Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad and are advancing with liberation and clearing operations in the Dobropillia direction.
