Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of Оctober 26

Russian shelling

Today, border settlements are suffering from artillery shelling from Russian territory, including:

• Bila Bereza, Chernatske, Chuikivka, Malushyne, Brusky, and Shalyhyne in the Sumy region,
• Yasna Poliana, Arkhipivka, and Lohy in the Chernihiv region.

Frontline situation

In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled one Russian attack. The enemy also carried out one airstrike, dropped four guided bombs, and conducted 74 artillery shellings, including one from a multiple rocket launcher system.

In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, the Russian army attacked Ukrainian positions four times near Vovchansk, Stroivka, and in the direction of Bolohivka and Dvorichanske. Four combat clashes are ongoing.

In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled four Russian attacks near Pishchane and Petropavlivka.

In the Lyman direction, the Russian army attacked eight times near Karpivka, Serednie, Derylove, and Torske. Defense forces successfully stopped seven advances, while one combat clash continues.

In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy attempted to break through five times near Vyimka, Pereizne, and Fedorivka. Ukrainian forces successfully repelled all attacks.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian forces did not conduct any offensive operations today.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy attacked nine times near Shcherbynivka, Kleban-Byk, Rusyn Yar, Sofiivka, and Pleshchiivka. Three combat clashes are still ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Russians made 17 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from positions near Ivanivka, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Chervonyi Lyman, Novoekonomichne, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Molodetske, and in the direction of Pokrovsk and Novopavlivka. Six combat clashes are still ongoing.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attacked seven times near Sosnivka, Stepove, Oleksandrohrad, Pavlivka, Novohryhorivka, and in the direction of Rybne. Three combat clashes are still ongoing.

In the Huliaipole direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped two Russian attempts to advance near Mlynivka and Zelenyi Hai. Airstrikes hit Solodke, Rivnopillia, Zaliznychne, and Nechaivka.

In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled four enemy attacks near Novoandriivka, Stepove, and Stepnohirsk. The Russian army also carried out airstrikes on Stepnohirsk, Veselyanka, and Novoiakovlivka.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy conducted an airstrike on Olhivka.

In other directions, there were no significant changes.

Russian army losses

The Russians continue to lose soldiers and military equipment daily. From October 25 to 26, the enemy lost 900 personnel, 15 artillery systems, 81 vehicles, and 214 drones.

Since the start of the full-scale war, the enemy has lost more than 1.1 million personnel in battles against Ukraine.
