Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of October 11

As of 4:00 PM Kyiv time on October 11, there were 108 combat engagements on the front. The hottest area remained the Pokrovsk direction, where Ukrainian forces have already repelled most attacks, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
Today, Russian artillery strikes hit several populated areas, including:
- Utskove, Brusky, Bunyakyne in the Sumy region;
- Khrinivka, Yasna Poliana, Mykhalchina Sloboda, Huta Studenetska in the Chernihiv region.
Frontline situation
In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, four combat engagements occurred. The Russian army carried out one airstrike, dropped two guided bombs, and launched 96 artillery strikes, including four from multiple rocket launcher systems.
In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, there were 11 combat engagements in the areas of Zapadne, Kutkivka, and toward Bolohivka, Dvorichanske, and Kolodiazne. One enemy attack is still ongoing.
In the Kupiansk direction, one combat engagement continues. Since the start of the day, Russian forces have tried five times to advance toward Ukrainian positions near Kupiansk, Petropavlivka, Nova Kruhliakivka, and Stepova Novoselivka.
In the Lyman direction, eight combat engagements occurred today. The enemy attacked near Kopanky, Karpivka, Drobysheve, Torske, and toward Lyman.
In the Sloviansk direction, Russian forces carried out four attacks near Yampil, Serebrianka, and Dronivka.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 11 Russian attacks. The enemy tried to advance near Oleksandro-Shultyne, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, and Poltavka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian troops attempted 29 times to advance on Ukrainian positions near Shakhove, Sukhetske, Myrnohrad, Chervonyi Lyman, Myroliubivka, Novoekonomichne, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiia, and toward Pokrovsk. Ukrainian defenders have already repelled 24 attacks. Fighting continues.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 13 enemy attacks near Zelenyi Hai, Sichneve, Sosnivka, Novohryhorivka, and toward Orestopil. Five enemy attacks are still ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk, Huliaipole, and Prydniprovskyi directions, the Russian army has not conducted offensive actions since the start of the day.
In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled four Russian assaults near Stepove and toward Prymorske.
In other directions, no significant changes were reported.
Russian army losses
Russian forces continue to lose personnel and equipment with each day of the war. Over the past 24 hours, from October 10 to 11, the enemy lost 1,060 soldiers. Ukrainian forces also destroyed six tanks, 21 artillery systems, and 72 vehicles.
Since the full-scale invasion began, Russian army losses have already exceeded 1.1 million personnel.
