Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of September 30

Since the start of the day, there have been 89 combat clashes along the front. Russian forces are attacking most intensely in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the General Staff.
In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, six enemy assaults have taken place since morning. In addition, the enemy carried out eight airstrikes, dropping 11 guided bombs, and launched 85 attacks on Ukrainian positions and settlements, including eight with multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, the Defense Forces repelled two assaults near Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk direction, no offensive actions by the enemy have been recorded so far.
In the Lyman direction, Russian troops launched seven attacks on Ukrainian positions near Novomykhailivka, Hrekivka, Kolodiazi, Yampolivka, and toward Drobyshove.
In the Siversk direction, the Russian forces tried to advance six times, attacking toward Yampil, Dronivka, and near Serebrianka. Two battles are still ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy made three attempts to advance near Bila Hora and toward Predtechyne, but was stopped by Ukrainian forces.
In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces carried out 11 assaults in the areas of Toretsk, Dyliivka, Yablunivka, Katerynivka, Rusyn Yar, and Poltavka. Four clashes are still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian troops launched 32 attempts to dislodge Ukrainian defenders from positions near Volodymyrivka, Nikanorivka, Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Novoekonomichne, Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Orikhove, and Filiia. The Defense Forces repelled 29 assaults, while fighting continues in three locations.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy tried to break through Ukrainian defenses near Zelenyi Hai, Piddubne, Vorone, Sosnivka, Sichneve, Kalynivske, Ternove, Olhivske, and Novohryhorivka. The Defense Forces repelled the attacks.
In the Huliaipole direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled an enemy attack near Poltavka.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy made two unsuccessful attempts to approach Ukrainian positions, with another battle still ongoing.
Russian losses in the war
According to the General Staff, since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost approximately 1,110,560 troops.
In the past day alone, Russian forces lost 970 soldiers. Ukrainian troops also destroyed 4 tanks, 1 armored fighting vehicle, 27 artillery systems, 1 helicopter, 301 drones, and other enemy equipment.
