Russia's losses in Ukraine as of September 30: +970 troops and 27 artillery systems

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has released updated data on the losses of the Russian army since the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022. The statistics, current as of September 30, 2025, reflect the state of the Russian armed forces and the amount of equipment destroyed during combat operations, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to September 30, 2025, are estimated to be:
- Personnel - approximately 1,110,560 (+970) Russian troops were eliminated;
- Tanks - 11,222 (+4);
- Troop-carrying AFVs - 23,290;
- Artillery systems - 33,311 (+27);
- MLRS - 1,505 (+1);
- Anti-aircraft systems - 1,224;
- Aircraft - 427;
- Helicopters - 346 (+1);
- UAV operational-tactical level - 65,303 (+301);
- Cruise missiles - 3,790;
- Warships/boats - 28;
- Submarines - 1;
- Vehicles and fuel tanks - 63,241 (+90);
- Special equipment - 3,979 (+2).
Earlier, Ukraine officially confirmed the destruction of the Elektrodetal plant in the Bryansk region. This facility played a key role in supplying the Russian army with military products, and its destruction significantly limits the enemy’s ability to provide equipment and ammunition.
Furthermore, on the morning of September 26, a UAV was twice recorded flying over the Zakarpattia region, having crossed the Ukrainian border from the territory of Hungary. According to preliminary data, the drone did not engage in any aggressive actions. However, the situation continues to be monitored.
