Enemy attacks

During the day on September 18, Russian forces carried out 52 airstrikes, dropping 95 guided bombs. In addition, they deployed 1,566 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,476 attacks on positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas.

Frontline situation

In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian forces repelled 10 enemy assault actions since the start of the day, while two combat engagements are still ongoing. In addition, the enemy carried out 10 airstrikes, dropping 28 guided bombs, and conducted 132 attacks on Ukrainian positions and settlements, five of which were carried out using multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy launched eight assaults on the positions of our units near the settlements of Hlyboke, Vovchansk, Vovchansky Khutory, and Odradne; three combat engagements are still ongoing.

In the Kupiansk direction, the Russian army conducted offensive actions toward Kupiansk, Novoosynove, Kindrashivka, and in the direction of Borova. Ukrainian forces repelled five of six attacks, while one engagement continues.

In the Lyman direction, Russian forces attacked the positions of the Defense Forces 12 times near the settlement of Kolodyazi and toward the settlements of Shyikivka, Shandryholove, Stavky, and Zarychne. Two combat engagements are ongoing.

Ukrainian defenders repelled nine enemy assaults in the Siversk direction - the Russian army attempted to advance in the area of Serebrianka and attacked toward Yampil and Vyiimka. Four combat engagements continue.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy twice unsuccessfully tried to break through the defenses of our forces near the settlements of Oleksandro-Shultyne and Bila Hora.

In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces launched 15 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Shcherbynivka, Kleban-Byk, Toretsk, Poltavka, and in the direction of Pleshchiivka and Rusynyi Yar; two combat engagements are still ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk direction, during the day, the occupiers attempted 61 times to advance on Ukrainian positions. The enemy attacked near the settlements of Shakhove, Volodymyrivka, Nove Shakhove, Novoekonomichne, Lysivka, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Dachne, and in the directions of Chervonyi Lyman, Rodynske, Pokrovska, Novopidhorodne, Molodetske, Muravka, Novopavlivka, and Filiia. Fighting continues in six locations to this day.

The General Staff reported that in the Pokrovsk direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are inflicting significant losses on the occupiers and depriving the aggressor of the ability to carry out offensive operations.

“According to preliminary data, 207 enemy combatants were neutralized in this direction today, 125 of them permanently. Ukrainian forces also destroyed two motorcycles; a cannon, a motorcycle, and five enemy personnel shelters were damaged,” the statement said.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the Russian army attempted 21 times to break through the defenses of our troops near the settlements of Sichneve, Voskresenka, Piddubne, Maliivka, Komyshuvakha, Ternove, Olhivka, and in the directions of Filiia, Ivanivka, Iskra, and Berezove. Three combat engagements are still ongoing.

In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy did not conduct any offensive actions.

In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy launched five attacks near the settlement of Kamianske and in the direction of Novoandriivka.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy twice unsuccessfully attempted to approach the positions of our defenders near the Antonivskyi Bridge.

Russian army losses

From September 17 to 18, Russian forces lost 930 soldiers in battles against Ukraine. The Armed Forces of Ukraine also destroyed 33 artillery systems, 390 drones, and 122 units of military vehicles.

Additionally, since the beginning of the full-scale war, the Russian army's losses have nearly reached 1.1 million personnel.
