Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of September 13

On September 13, there were 158 combat engagements on the front line. The enemy carried out 63 airstrikes, dropped 106 guided bombs, deployed 1,950 kamikaze drones, and conducted 3,570 shellings of Ukrainian Armed Forces positions and settlements, according to the report from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, there were 3 attacks by Russian forces. The enemy carried out 8 airstrikes, dropped 20 guided aerial bombs, and conducted 167 shellings, including two with multiple rocket launch systems.
In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, 11 combat clashes took place in the areas of Vovchansk, Ambarne, Fiholivka, and in the direction of Khatne and Odradne.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy carried out 8 attacks on Ukrainian positions. Fighting took place in the area of Myrne and in the directions of Kupiansk and Petropavlivka.
In the Lyman direction, Russian forces launched 13 assaults on Ukrainian defenders’ positions in the areas of Shandryholove, Kolodiazi, Hrekivka, Zarichne, and toward Stavky.
In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 14 out of 17 enemy attempts to advance on their positions. Russian units attempted to push forward in the areas of Serebrianka, Hryhorivka, and toward the settlements of Yampil and Dronivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Defense Forces stopped two enemy attacks in the area of Bila Hora and toward Stupochky.
In the Toretsk direction, the Russian army launched 10 assaults on Ukrainian defenders’ positions over the course of the day in the areas of Kleban-Byk, Katerynivka, Poltavka, Rusyn Yar, and toward Pleshchiivka and Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy made 39 attempts to push back Ukrainian Armed Forces units. Activity was reported in the areas of Volodymyrivka, Rodynske, Mykolaivka, Myroliubivka, Novoekonomichne, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Dachne, Novomykolaivka, Novopidhorodne, Molodetske, and toward Novopavlivka and Filiia.
According to preliminary estimates, in this direction, Ukrainian soldiers eliminated 86 and wounded 55 enemy personnel, destroyed 19 UAVs, and damaged one vehicle and nine enemy personnel shelters.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy made 30 attempts to break through near the settlements of Oleksandrohrad, Ternove, Voskresenka, Maliivka, Olhivske, and in the directions of Ivanivka, Novoivanivka, and Poltavka.
In the Huliaipole and Orikhiv directions, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions but carried out an airstrike on Zaliznychne.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy launched three unsuccessful attacks on Ukrainian Armed Forces positions, while also carrying out airstrikes in the areas of Kozatske and Inhulets.
Situation in the Pokrovsk direction
Oleksii Belskyi, spokesperson of the Dnipro Operational-Strategic Group of Forces, reported that this week the Russian forces conducted a record number of assaults in the Pokrovsk direction — a total of 64.
In addition, on September 12, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 49 Russian offensive actions, with the Russians setting a peculiar record by attacking along 19 directions in a single day.
As Belskyi explained, the enemy is searching for weak points in the defense of the Pokrovsk-Myronhrad agglomeration.
