Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of September 10

As of 22:00 Kyiv time on September 10, there were 153 combat engagements on the front line over the course of the day. The heaviest fighting was recorded in the Pokrovsk and Novopavlivka directions, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Enemy attacks
According to the General Staff, Russian forces carried out two missile strikes and 45 airstrikes, launching 44 missiles and dropping 64 guided bombs. In addition, they deployed 1,989 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,338 attacks on Ukrainian positions and settlements.
Frontline situation
In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, seven combat engagements took place. The enemy launched 10 airstrikes, dropping a total of 24 guided aerial bombs, and carried out 182 artillery attacks, including nine from multiple rocket launch systems.
During the day, the enemy attacked 13 times in the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, near Vovchansk, Ambarne, and Odradne. Six combat engagements are still ongoing.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attempted four assaults in the areas of Myrne, Kupiansk, and Borivska Andriivka.
In the Lyman direction, the Defense Forces repelled 17 assaults near the settlements of Hrekivka, Serednie, Kolodiazi, Stavky, Torske, and Shandryholove. Another eight combat engagements are still in progress.
In the Siversk direction, the enemy carried out 17 attacks near Serebrianka, Hryhorivka, and toward Vyiimka.
Since the beginning of the day in the Kramatorsk direction, Russian units attacked five times near Bila Hora, Maiske, and in the directions of Stupochky and Predtechyne.
In the Toretsk direction, there were 13 combat engagements. The enemy attempted to storm Ukrainian positions near Shcherbynivka, Oleksandro-Kalynove, Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, Poltavka, and toward Berestok and Sofiivka. Three engagements are still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the enemy has launched 39 attacks in the areas of Volodymyrivka, Vilne, Zolotyi Kolodiaz, Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Promin, Lysivka, Novoekonomichne, Myroliubivka, Zvirove, Udachne, Dachne, and Novoukrainka. Our defenders are holding back the enemy’s pressure, with one engagement still ongoing.
“Today in this direction, according to preliminary data, 112 Russian soldiers have been neutralized, of which 77 irreversibly. In addition, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed two artillery systems, one vehicle, 18 UAVs, a piece of special equipment, a UAV control post, and an ammunition depot. An enemy artillery system, a vehicle, and an electronic warfare system were also damaged,” the report said.
In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 24 enemy attacks near the settlements of Filiia, Oleksandrohrad, Maliivka, Olhivske, Tolstoi, Piddubne, Novoivanivka, and toward Ivanivka.
In the Hulyaipole direction, the enemy attempted one assault on our defenders’ positions near Bilohiria. The settlement of Zaliznychne came under an airstrike with unguided rockets.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy carried out one offensive action near Plavni but was repelled.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Ukrainian units repelled two enemy attacks toward Antonivka and Sadove.
In other directions, there were no significant changes in the situation.
Russian army losses
Between September 9 and 10, the Russian forces lost another 990 soldiers at the front. The Armed Forces of Ukraine also destroyed 29 artillery systems, 83 vehicles, and other types of weaponry.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the Russian army's losses have reached nearly 1.1 million personnel.
