Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of September 2

On the front, since the beginning of August 26, there have been 76 combat engagements. Russian forces are attacking in almost all directions, with the heaviest fighting in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled three Russian attacks, while one combat engagement is ongoing. Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has carried out four airstrikes, dropping a total of 12 guided bombs, and conducted 136 artillery attacks, including three from multiple rocket launch systems.
In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, Ukrainian forces stopped three enemy attacks near the settlements of Vovchansk and Krasne Pershe, while four combat engagements are ongoing.
In the Kupiansk direction, the aggressor conducted four assault actions near the settlements of Kupiansk and Petropavlivka. Two combat engagements are still ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, the invading army attacked five times near the settlements of Karpivka, Kolodyazi, and toward Dronivka. Three combat engagements are ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Russian army made ten attempts to advance toward the settlements of Stupochky and Predtechyne. Four combat engagements are still ongoing.
In the Toretsk direction, near the settlements of Shcherbynivka, Toretsk, Yablunivka, and Poltavka, our forces repelled four enemy assaults, while one combat engagement continues.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the Russian troops made 21 attempts to push our defenders from their positions near the settlements of Maiak, Nove Shakhove, Vilne, Dachne, Novoekonomichne, Myroliubivka, Myrnohrad, Promin, Lysivka, Udachne, and toward Pokrovsk. The defense forces are holding the line and have already stopped 20 attacks.
Today, in the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy attacked three times near the settlements of Ivanivka and Shevchenko. Two combat engagements are still ongoing.
In the Huliaipole and Orikhiv directions, the enemy has not carried out any offensive actions since the beginning of the day.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy attacked twice toward the settlement of Antonivka. The settlement of Mykolaivka was hit by an airstrike.
Russian losses in the war
According to the General Staff, since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has lost approximately 1,083,790 military personnel.
In particular, over the past day, Russian army losses amounted to 800 soldiers. Ukrainian fighters also destroyed 1 tank, 4 armored combat vehicles, 53 artillery systems, 170 drones, and other enemy equipment yesterday.
