Russia's losses in Ukraine as of September 2: +800 troops and 53 artillery systems

Over the past day, Russian forces suffered 800 casualties, including killed and wounded, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On September 1, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 800 Russian soldiers, indicating a high intensity of combat on the front lines.
Thus, the total personnel losses of the Russian army on the 1,287th day of the full-scale war have reached 1,083,790 killed and wounded.
In addition to personnel losses, the enemy continues to suffer significant material losses.
As of September 2, 2025, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have destroyed:
- Tanks - 11,156 (+1);
- Troop-carrying AFVs - 23,233 (+4);
- Artillery systems - 32,301 (+53);
- MLRS - 1,477 (+1);
- Anti-aircraft systems - 1,213;
- Aircraft - 422;
- Helicopters - 341;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 55,446 (+170);
- Cruise missiles - 3,664;
- Warships/boats - 28;
- Submarines - 1;
- Vehicles and fuel tanks - 60,488 (+89);
- Special equipment - 3,952.
Frontline situation
The enemy has increased the number of combat engagements across all frontlines.
Since the beginning of the day, 160 battles have been recorded. The Russian army carried out 44 airstrikes and used 77 guided bombs. The enemy also launched 1,960 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,665 shelling attacks on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Ukrainian settlements.
