Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of August 26

Since the start of August 26, there have been 71 combat engagements on the front. Russian forces are attacking in nearly all directions, with the heaviest fighting in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled four enemy attacks, with one battle ongoing. The enemy also carried out three airstrikes, dropped five KAB bombs, and conducted 115 artillery strikes, including one from multiple rocket launchers.
In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, Russian forces attacked four times near Hlyboke, Vovchansk, Krasne Pershe, and toward Doroshivka; two clashes continue.
In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled four attacks near Kupiansk and Nova Kruhliakivka; one engagement is ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, the Russian army launched 17 attacks near Novomykhailivka, Karpivka, Kolodiazi, and toward Shandryholove, Stavky, Dronivka, and Serebrianka. Defense forces stopped 10 enemy advances; fighting is ongoing.
In the Siversk direction, four Russian attempts to break through near Hryhorivka, Serebrianka, Vyimka, and Fedorivka were repelled.
In the Kramatorsk direction, two unsuccessful attacks toward Stupochky were repelled.
In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces attacked five times near Toretsk and toward Berestok and Stepanivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the start of the day, Russian forces made 24 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from positions near Nikanorivka, Novoekonomichne, Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novoukrainka, and toward Volodymyrivka, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, and Novopavlivka. Ukrainian forces repelled 23 attacks; one engagement continues.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy attacked nine times near Shevchenko and toward Filiia, Iskra, and Oleksandrohrad; three clashes are ongoing.
In the Huliaipole direction, enemy aviation struck Bilohiria.
In the Orikhiv direction, Russian aviation attacked Preobrazhenka.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, one unsuccessful attack on Ukrainian positions was reported.

According to the General Staff, since the start of the full-scale war, Russia has lost approximately 1,077,830 troops.
In the past 24 hours, Russian forces lost 890 soldiers. Ukrainian troops destroyed 4 tanks, 3 armored combat vehicles, 33 artillery systems, 95 drones, and other enemy equipment.
