Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of August 12

Since the start of August 12, there have been 133 combat clashes along the entire frontline. Ukrainian defenders continue to repel enemy attempts to advance deeper into our territory, according to the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff.
According to the General Staff, Russian forces carried out one missile strike using four missiles and 67 airstrikes, dropping 130 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they deployed 1,528 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,637 shelling attacks on our troops’ positions and civilian settlements.
Frontline situation
In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, there were nine combat clashes. The enemy carried out six airstrikes, dropping fourteen guided bombs, and conducted 178 shelling attacks, including six from multiple rocket launch systems.
In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, since the start of the day, the enemy has launched three offensive actions near the settlement of Kamianka.
In the Kupiansk direction, the Russian army attacked near Kindrashivka, Moskovka, and Kupiansk - Ukrainian defenders repelled five enemy attempts to advance.
In the Lyman direction, Russian forces attacked Defense Forces positions 15 times in the areas of Hrekivka, Myrne, Zarichne, Karpivka, Torske, Dibrova, and towards Shandryholove and Serebrianka. Three clashes are still ongoing.
In the Siversk direction, our defenders repelled eight assaults by Russian forces in the areas of Hryhorivka and Viyimka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy stormed our defenders’ positions near Oleksandro-Shultyne and Stupochky. The Defense Forces successfully repelled both attacks.
In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces launched four assaults on Ukrainian units’ positions in the areas of Nelipivka, Shcherbynivka, and Yablunivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the start of the day, the enemy attacked in the areas of Popovyi Yar, Volodymyrivka, Kolodyazi, Nikanorivka, Novyi Shakhovyi, Novoekonomichne, Zvirove, Udachne, as well as toward Rodynske and Promin. Our defenders stopped 33 enemy assault attempts, with two clashes still ongoing.
Today on this front, preliminary reports indicate that 167 Russian soldiers were neutralized, including 116 irreversibly. Ukrainian soldiers destroyed two armored combat vehicles, 85 drones, six vehicles, two drone antennas, and two enemy drone control points.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy attempted to break through our defenders’ lines 22 times in the areas of Dachne, Novoukrainka, Vilne Pole, Oleksandrohrad, Tolstyi, Myrne, Maliivka, Voskresenka, and Andriivka-Klevtsove. Four clashes are currently ongoing.
In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy advanced toward Poltavka and carried out an airstrike on the area of the Bilohirya settlement.
In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian forces repelled two enemy assaults near Kamianske. The settlements of Stepnohirsk and Plavni were hit by guided bomb airstrikes.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy launched six attacks toward our defenders’ positions and also conducted an airstrike on Odradokamianka.
Russian losses
Russian forces' total losses over the past day amounted to 980 personnel.
Ukrainian forces also destroyed five tanks, five armored combat vehicles, 26 artillery systems, two multiple rocket launcher systems, one air defense system, 107 tactical-level drones, 106 vehicles, and one piece of special enemy equipment.
