Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of July 22

Over the past day, 176 combat clashes were recorded on the front line. Russian troops carried out massive air, missile, and artillery strikes on Ukrainian positions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Russian troops carried out two missile strikes using 25 missiles, 74 air strikes, dropped 122 guided aerial bombs, and used 3,832 kamikaze drones.
Russians used artillery 5,387 times, including 56 strikes with multiple launch rocket systems.
Russia carried out air strikes were carried out on the areas of the settlements of Lobkove, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Bilenke (Zaporizhzhia region), Kozatske (Kherson region), and the city of Sumy.
In response, the missile forces and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck five areas where Russian personnel, weapons, and equipment were concentrated, as well as two equipment units of Russian missile forces.
Directions
Northern-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions. Ukrainian forces repelled 22 Russian attacks. The occupiers also carried out 8 air strikes (12 guided bombs) and 318 artillery strikes, five of which were from MLRS.
South-Slobozhansky direction. Russian assaults in the areas of Vovchansk, Kamianka, Stroivka, Zapadne, and Kutkivka were unsuccessful — 6 attacks were repelled.
Kupiansk direction. Seven Russian attacks were repelled near Holubivka, Kupiansk, Pishchane, Zahryzove, Zelenyi Hai, and in the direction of Bohuslavka.
Lyman direction. Russians have become more active - 23 combat clashes near Novyi Myr, Karpivka, Kolodiazi, Yampolivka, Torske, as well as in the directions of Serebrianka, Serednie, Shandryholove, and Hryhorivka.
Siversk direction. Russia attacked the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine three times in the areas of Serebrianka, Verkhniokamianske, and Pereizne.
Kramatorsk direction. Russians carried out six attacks in the area of Bila Hora and the direction of Predtechyne.
Toretsk direction. Russia attempted 11 times to break through the defenses near Dyliivka, Romanivka, Toretsk, Oleksandro-Kalynove, Novospaske, as well as in the direction of Katerynivka and Pleshchiivka.
Pokrovsk direction is one of the most intense. The Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 57 Russian assaults in the areas of Popiv Yar, Volodymyrivka, Novotoretsk, Mykolaivka, Udachne, Novoeekonomichne, Lysivka, Zvirove, as well as in the directions of Novoukrainka, Pokrovsk, Dachne, Myrnohrad, and Maiak.
Novopavlivka direction. 18 Russian attacks were repelled near Zirka, Piddubne, Myrne, Shevchenko, Dachne, and in the direction of Novokhatsk, Temyrivka, Oleksandrohrad, and Voskresenka.
Huliaipole direction. There were no combat clashes in the past 24 hours.
Orikhiv direction. 3 Russian attacks were repelled near Kamianske.
Prydniprovskyi direction. Russians attempted to advance four times but were unsuccessful.
Volyn and Polissia directions. No signs of Russian assault groups being formed were recorded.
Russian losses in war against Ukraine
Over the past day, Russia lost 1,090 personnel.
Ukrainian soldiers also destroyed a Russian tank, seven armored combat vehicles, 43 artillery systems, a multiple launch rocket system, 256 tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles, 18 missiles, a heavy flamethrower system, 94 vehicles, and a unit of Russian special equipment.
