Russia's losses in Ukraine as of July 22: +1,070 troops and 43 artillery systems

Over the past 24 hours, from July 21 to 22, the Russian army lost 1,090 soldiers on the front line, as well as a tank, an MLRS, and 43 artillery systems, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022, to July 22, 2025, are approximately:
- personnel - about 1,044,250 (+1,170) Russian troops were eliminated;
- tanks - 11,038 (+1);
- troop-carrying AFVs - 23,035 (+7);
- artillery systems - 30,680 (+43);
- MLRS - 1,445 (+1);
- anti-aircraft systems - 1,199 (+1);
- aircraft - 421;
- helicopters - 340;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 47,437 (+256);
- cruise missiles - 3,533 (+18);
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 55,953 (+94);
- special equipment - 3,935 (+1).
Russian airstrikes
Over the past day, 140 combat clashes took place on the front. The most intense fighting is occurring in the Pokrovsk direction.
Meanwhile, Russian troops continue shelling the rear settlements of Ukraine.
Thus, on the night of July 22, Russian forces attacked Odesa with strike drones.
Infrastructure in the city was damaged, windows in apartment buildings were shattered, and cars caught fire.
There are civilian casualties.
