Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of July 20

Over the past day, July 19, a total of 154 combat engagements were recorded on the front line. Russian forces attacked positions of Ukraine’s Defense Forces using aircraft, missiles, drones, and artillery, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Massive strikes along the front
The enemy launched four missile strikes and 64 airstrikes, firing 31 missiles and dropping 112 guided aerial bombs. Additionally, 5,706 shelling incidents were recorded, including 117 from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). The enemy also used 3,857 kamikaze drones.

Ukrainian response
The aviation, missile troops, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck:

Situation by direction
Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions: 21 combat clashes, 8 airstrikes (15 guided bombs), 323 shelling incidents, including 4 with MLRS.
Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction: Defense Forces repelled 6 attacks near Vovchansk, Stroivka, Lyptsi, and Starytsia.
Kupiansk direction: The enemy carried out 4 assaults near Holubivka and Zahryzove.
Lyman direction: 22 enemy attacks recorded near Novyi Myr, Torske, Serebrianka, Ridkodub, Hrekivka, Shandryholove, Karpivka, Kolodiazi, Bilohorivka, and Hryhorivka.
Siversk direction: 3 enemy assaults repelled near Serebrianka.
Kramatorsk direction: 3 combat engagements near Chasiv Yar and Bila Hora.
Toretsk direction: The enemy launched 9 attacks near Dyliivka, Toretsk, and Rusyn Yar.
Pokrovsk direction: Defense Forces repelled 50 assaults in the areas of Popiv Yar, Novoeconomichne, Myroliubivka, Lysivka, Udachne, Novosergiivka, Molodetske, Horikhove, Shevchenko, Muravka, Dachne, Myrnohrad, Zvirove, Oleksiivka, and the outskirts of Pokrovsk.
Novopavlivka direction: 16 attacks repelled in Shevchenko, Zaporizhzhia, Andriivka-Klevtsove, Zelenyi Hai, Voskresenka, Vilne Pole, Temyrivka, Zelene Pole, and toward Maliivka.
Huliaipole direction: One failed enemy attack near Malynivka.
Orikhiv direction: Defense Forces stopped one assault near Kamianske.
Prydniprovskyi direction: 6 combat clashes with the enemy.
Volyn and Polissia directions: No signs of offensive group formation detected.
Russian losses in the war
As reported earlier, Russia’s losses over the past day amounted to 1,040 personnel.
Ukrainian forces also destroyed three tanks, nine armored fighting vehicles, 52 artillery systems, one multiple launch rocket system, 270 operational-tactical UAVs, 23 missiles, 121 vehicles, and one heavy flamethrower system.
