Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of July 19

As of 10 p.m. Kyiv time on July 19, 115 combat engagements took place on the frontline since the beginning of the day. Almost a third of them took place in the Pokrovske sector, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian strikes
Today, the Russians launched 4 missile strikes with 31 missiles, 44 air strikes, dropping 72 guided bombs. In addition, they used 1,375 kamikaze drones and fired 4,151 times at Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas.
Situation at fronts
On the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk sectors, 17 combat clashes with Russian invaders took place, five of which are still ongoing. Russia carried out four air strikes, dropped eight guided bombs, and made 288 artillery attacks.
Today, Russia attacked 6 times in the South-Slobozhanskyi sector, in the areas of Vovchansk, Stroivka, Lyptsi, and Starytsia.
In the Kupiansk sector, Russia conducted four offensives in the area of Holubivka and Zahryzove.
In the Lyman sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have already repelled 13 Russian attacks in the areas of Novyi Myr, Torske, Serebrianka, Ridkodub, Karpivka, Kolodiazi, Bilohorivka, and Hryhorivka, with 3 more clashes still ongoing.
In the Siversk sector, Russia attacked 3 times in the vicinity of Serebrianka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russia attacked three times in the vicinity of Chasiv Yar and Bila Hora since the beginning of the day; two attacks were repelled by Ukrainian troops, and the battle continues.
8 combat clashes took place in the Toretsk sector today. Russia tried to storm the positions of Ukrainian troops in the areas of Dyliivka, Toretsk, and Rusyn Yar.
In the Pokrovsk sector, since the beginning of the day, Russia has attacked positions 36 times in the areas of Popiv Yar, Novoekonomichne, Myroliubivka, Lysivka, Udachne, Novoserhiivka, Molodetske, Horikhove, Dachne, Myrnohrad, Zvirove, Muravka, Oleksiivka, and in the direction of Pokrovsk.
"Ukrainian defenders repelled 35 Russian attacks, and one more firefight is still ongoing. Russian aircraft launched air strikes on the areas of Shakhove, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, and Bilytske," the statement says.
"Today, according to preliminary data, 67 Russian troops were neutralized in this area, 51 of them were irretrievably killed. In addition, Ukrainian troops destroyed one Russian motorcycle, ten unmanned aerial vehicles, and one satellite communication terminal," the statement says.
In the Novopavlivka sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 10 attacks in the areas of Shevchenko, Zaporizhzhia, Andriivka-Klevtsove, Zelenyi Hai, Voskresenka, Vilne Pole, Zelene Pole, and in the direction of Maliivka. Four more combat clashes are ongoing.
In the Huliaipole sector, Russia conducted an unsuccessful attack in the vicinity of Malynivka.
In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian troops conducted one firefight near Kamianske over the last day, and the enemy also conducted air strikes on Mala Tokmachka, Chervona Krynytsia, Novodanylivka, Plavni, and Prymorske.
Six combat clashes took place in the Prydniprovskyi sector, and Russia also launched air strikes on the settlements of Tiahynka and Lvove.
Losses of Russian army
Over the previous day, from July 18 to July 19, the Russian army's losses in the fighting against Ukraine amounted to 1,120 soldiers. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 46 artillery systems, 163 drones, and 112 vehicles.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Russian army's losses have exceeded 1 million troops.
