Over the past day, from July 18 to 19, Russia lost another 1,120 soldiers in battles against Ukraine. Ukrainian forces also destroyed a cruise missile and an air defense system, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022, to July 19, 2025, are approximately as follows:

  • personnel – about 1,040,950 (+1,120) people wounded/killed;
  • tanks – 11,032 units;
  • troop-carrying AFVs – 23,012 (+7) units;
  • artillery systems – 30,531 (+46) units;
  • MLRS – 1,442 (+1) units;
  • anti-aircraft systems – 1,198 (+1) units;
  • aircraft – 421 units;
  • helicopters – 340 units;
  • UAV operational-tactical level – 46,712 (+163) units;
  • cruise missiles – 3,492 (+1) units;
  • warships/boats – 28 units;
  • submarines – 1 unit;
  • vehicles and fuel tanks – 55,606 (+112) units;
  • special equipment – 3,932 units.

Frontline update for July 18

Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that 138 combat clashes took place on the front since the start of the day on July 18. The fiercest fighting continues in the Pokrovsk sector.

Russian forces carried out 61 airstrikes, dropping 81 guided bombs.

According to ISW, Russian troops have recently advanced in the northern part of Sumy region and near Pokrovsk. At the same time, Ukrainian forces made gains near Novopavlivka.
