Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of July 13

As of 4:00 PM Kyiv time on July 13, 97 battles occurred on the front since the start of the day. The Russians were most active in the Lyman, Pokrovsk, Novopavlivka, Toretsk, and Kursk directions, informs the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
Today, artillery shelling by Russian forces struck border areas of Ukraine, including the following settlements:

Hai in the Chernihiv region;

Klyusy, Uhroidy, Myropilske, Prohres, and Maryine in the Sumy region.
Frontline situation
In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Russian forces launched seven offensive actions today. One battle is ongoing. The enemy conducted six airstrikes, dropping a total of 13 guided bombs. They carried out 133 shelling attacks, including three from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, Ukrainian forces repelled three Russian assault attempts near Vovchansk and Zelene.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces attacked four times near Holubivka, Synkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, and Kolisnykivka. Fighting is ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 11 attacks near the settlements of Hrekivka, Kopanky, Ridkodub, Karpivka, Kolodiazi, Zelena Dolyna, and Torske. Three attacks are still underway.
In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled two enemy attacks. The enemy attempted to advance toward Serebrianka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, one enemy assault occurred. Russian forces attacked toward Stupochky.
In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces launched eight assault attempts on Ukrainian positions near Toretsk, Oleksandro-Kalynove, Yablunivka, Rusyn Yar, and toward Stepanivka. Ukrainian units repelled seven attacks. One battle is ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the start of the day, Russian forces have conducted 42 attacks on Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Poltavka, Myroliubivka, Mykolaivka, Razine, Rodynske, Novotoretske, Promin, Vidrodzhennia, Shevchenko, Udachne, Novoserhiivka, Kotliarivka, Muravka, and Oleksiivka. Ukrainian defenders have repelled 35 Russian attacks while holding the line.
In the Novopavlivka direction, Russian forces launched eight assaults on Ukrainian positions near Zaporizhzhia, Novokhatske, Myrne, and Vilne Pole. Ukrainian troops repelled five attacks. Fighting continues.
In the Orikhiv direction, Russian forces twice advanced on Ukrainian positions, attempting to push toward Mali Shcherbaky and Novodanilivka.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled three Russian assault attempts.
No significant changes were reported in other directions.
Russian losses in the war
In the previous 24 hours, from July 12 to 13, Russian forces lost an additional 1,240 soldiers in battles against Ukraine. The Armed Forces of Ukraine also destroyed 49 artillery systems, 101 vehicles, and 263 drones.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russia's total military losses have surpassed 1 million troops.
