Since the beginning of the day on July 8, there have been 148 combat engagements on the front line. The highest number of enemy attacks was recorded in the Pokrovsk and Novopavlivka directions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Since the beginning of the day, the Russian forces have carried out two missile strikes and 52 airstrikes, using six missiles and dropping 77 guided bombs. In addition, they deployed 1,113 kamikaze drones and conducted 4,126 attacks on the positions of our troops and populated areas.

Frontline situation

In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, there were 13 combat engagements with Russian forces. The enemy carried out seven airstrikes, dropping 13 guided bombs, and conducted 260 attacks, including five using multiple launch rocket systems.

Today, the enemy launched 10 attacks in the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, in the areas of Vovchansk, Ambarne, and Kamianka. One combat engagement is still ongoing.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy made three attempts to advance in the areas of Zahryzove and Holubivka.

In the Lyman direction, the Defense Forces repelled 13 assaults in the areas of Novyi Myr, Karpivka, Zelena Dolyna, Torske, Ridkodub, Hryhorivka, and in the direction of Shandryholove. Two combat engagements are still ongoing.

In the Siversk direction, the enemy launched four attacks in the area of Ivano-Darivka and the directions of Serebrianka and Vyiimka. One combat engagement is still ongoing.

Since the beginning of the day in the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy attacked toward Stupochky and Bila Hora. Ukrainian units repelled all three attacks.

In the Toretsk direction, there were nine combat engagements today. The enemy attempted to assault the positions of Ukrainian units in the areas of Diliivka, Toretsk, Yablunivka, Rusyn Yar, and in the directions of Katerynivka and Oleksandro-Kalyneve.

In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the enemy launched 51 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Popiv Yar, Poltavka, Myrne, Malynivka, Myroliubivka, Razine, Lysivka, Shevchenko, Zvirove, Udachne, Muravka, Oleksiivka, Zelenyi Kut, Orikhove, and in the directions of Pokrovsk, Molodetske, and Novopavlivka. Our defenders are holding back the enemy’s onslaught - six combat engagements are still ongoing.

According to preliminary data, 177 Russian soldiers were neutralized in this direction today, 118 of whom were irrecoverable losses. In addition, Ukrainian forces destroyed one APC, a vehicle, 13 pieces of motorized equipment, a gun, 11 UAVs, two dug-in electronic warfare systems, and one UAV control antenna. Furthermore, a vehicle, five enemy guns, and a mortar were struck.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 26 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Zaporizhzhia, Piddubne, Myrne, Komar, Voskresenka, Shevchenko, Zelene Pole, Vilne Pole, and Novopil. Eight combat engagements are still ongoing.

In the Huliaipole direction, the Defense Forces are repelling one enemy assault near Malynivka.

In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy carried out an airstrike in the area of the settlement of Plavni but did not conduct any offensive actions.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy unsuccessfully attempted once to approach our defensive positions. The enemy also carried out airstrikes on the areas of the settlements of Mykolaivka and Lvove.

Russian losses in the war

According to the General Staff, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost approximately 1,028,610 military personnel.

In particular, over the past day alone, the Russian army suffered 1,070 personnel losses. In addition, Ukrainian fighters destroyed 4 armored combat vehicles, 41 artillery systems, 2 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), 172 drones, and other enemy equipment.
