As of 10:00 p.m. Kyiv time on July 4, there were 136 combat engagements on the frontline. The highest number of battles was recorded in the Pokrovsk direction, according to a report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Enemy attacks

Today, Russian forces launched four missile strikes and 55 airstrikes, using 15 missiles and dropping 74 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they deployed 1,436 kamikaze drones and carried out 4,496 attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas.

Frontline situation

In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, since the beginning of the day, Ukrainian troops have repelled 12 enemy assault attempts, with one more combat engagement still ongoing. Moreover, the enemy carried out ten airstrikes, dropping 23 guided bombs, and conducted 205 attacks on our positions and populated areas, including nine using multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy launched eight assaults on the positions of our units in the areas of Vovchansk, Hlyboke, Zelene, Kamyanka, and toward Kutkivka. Four combat engagements are still ongoing.

In the Kupiansk direction, the Russian army carried out offensive actions near the settlements of Holubivka, Zahryzove, and Zelenyi Hai. Ukrainian defenders repelled six enemy attacks.

In the Lyman direction, Russian forces attacked the positions of the Defense Forces 21 times near the settlements of Nadiya, Hrekivka, Karpivka, Ridkodub, Zelena Dolyna, Torske, Dibrova, and toward Hryhorivka.

Ukrainian defenders repelled four enemy assaults in the Siversk direction, where the Russian army attempted to advance in the areas of Verkhniokamianske and Vyimka.

In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces launched six attacks on Ukrainian positions near Diliivka and toward the settlements of Romanivka, Rusyn Yar, and Yablunivka. The Defense Forces successfully stopped all enemy assaults. The Russian army also conducted an airstrike using bombs on Kostiantynivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the Russian forces have attempted to advance 42 times on Ukrainian positions. The enemy attacked near the settlements of Poltavka, Novotoretske, Razine, Myroliubivka, Promin, Novoukrainka, Udachne, Novoserhiivka, Kotliarivka, and Oleksiivka. Five battles are still ongoing.

"According to preliminary data, 162 Russian soldiers were neutralized in this direction today, 96 of whom were killed. Ukrainian troops also destroyed four combat vehicles, three motorcycles, five UAVs, two satellite communication terminals, four personnel shelters, two communication antennas, and a generator. In addition, three vehicles and four enemy artillery systems were damaged," the report says.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy attempted to break through the defenses of our troops 12 times near the settlements of Yalta, Zirka, Zaporizhzhia, Komar, Voskresenka, and Shevchenko. Two combat engagements are still ongoing. Enemy aircraft struck the settlement of Andriivka-Klevtsove.

In the Orikhiv direction, the Russian army launched two attacks on our positions near Kamianske and toward Novoandriivka. The settlement of Prymorske was hit by an airstrike.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Ukrainian troops repelled three enemy attacks near the Antonivskyi Bridge.

There were no significant changes on the remaining fronts.

Russian army losses

Over the past day, from July 3 to 4, Russian forces lost another 1,120 soldiers in battles against Ukraine. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 50 artillery systems, 112 vehicles, and 205 drones.

It should also be noted that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Russian army losses have exceeded 1 million personnel.
