Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of June 18

Russia launched massive attacks along the entire front line and carried out devastating airstrikes across several regions.

Scale of strikes

Russian forces launched 33 missiles and conducted 45 airstrikes, dropping 79 guided aerial bombs. In addition, 3,600 kamikaze drones were used to strike targets, and over 6,116 shellings occurred from various types of weapons. In particular, the enemy carried out 72 strikes using MLRS.

The following settlements came under airstrikes:

In the Kharkiv region - Okhrimivka, Potykhonove;

In the Donetsk region - Poltavka, Koptyeve, Razine, Myrnohrad, Novotoretske, Sukhyi Yar;

In the Zaporizhzhia region - Olhivske, Poltavka, Malynivka, Uspenivka, Novoandriivka, Huliaipole, Kamianske.

In response, Ukrainian defense forces struck 28 areas where enemy personnel and equipment were concentrated, destroying 10 artillery systems, one air defense system, a radar station, 5 UAV control points, an ammunition depot, and 2 other critical targets.

Situation by directions

Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions. Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 28 assaults. The enemy carried out 6 airstrikes (11 guided bombs) and conducted 215 shellings, including 4 using MLRS.

Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction. The enemy attacked Ukrainian positions near Vovchansk, Kamianka, and Dovhenke three times.

Kupiansk direction. Russian troops launched one unsuccessful attack near Stepova Novoselivka.

Lyman direction. The enemy carried out 16 assault attacks in the areas of Lypove, Hrekivka, Novyi Myr, Olhivka, Zelena Dolyna, Shandryholove, and the Serebriansky forest.

Siversk direction. Three attacks in the direction of Serebrianka.

Kramatorsk direction. 11 combat clashes were recorded in the direction of Markove, Predtechyne, Bila Hora, and near Kurdiumivka.

Toretsk direction. The enemy attacked 16 times near Dyliivka, Toretsk, Shcherbynivka, Oleksandro-Kalynove, Yablunivka, Stepanivka, and Rusyn Yar.

Pokrovsk direction. The hottest section of the front: Ukrainian forces repelled 57 Russian attacks near Koptyeve, Poltavka, Malynivka, Myrne, Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Datchenske, Udachne, Muravka, Orikhove, Novopavlivka, and Oleksiivka.

Novopavlivka direction. The enemy carried out 22 assaults in the areas of Odradne, Vilne Pole, Bahatyr, Komar, as well as in the direction of Zaporizhzhia, Myrne, and Shevchenko.

Huliaipole direction. Ukrainian defenders repelled two Russian attacks near Malynivka.

Orikhiv direction. No combat clashes were recorded.

Prydniprovsk direction. Russian forces attempted to break through near the Antonivskyi bridge but were stopped – Ukrainian defenders repelled 2 attack attempts.

Volyn and Polissia directions. No signs of the enemy forming assault groups were detected.

Russian losses in war against Ukraine

Over the past day, Russian troops lost 1,040 military personnel in its war against Ukraine.

In addition, Ukrainian forces destroyed 7 enemy tanks, 31 armored fighting vehicles, 37 artillery systems, 1 MLRS, 184 operational-tactical level drones, 23 missiles, and 137 military vehicles and fuel tanks.
