Over the last day, from June 17 to June 18, the Russian losses at the front amounted to 1,040 troops, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to June 18, 2025, are estimated to be:

  • personnel - about 1,007,160 (+1,040) Russian troops were eliminated
  • tanks - 10,947 (+7)
  • troop-carrying AFVs - 22,845 (+31)
  • artillery systems - 29,265 (+37)
  • MLRS - 1,420 (+1) units;
  • anti-aircraft systems - 1,187
  • aircraft - 416
  • helicopters - 337
  • UAV operational-tactical level- 41,165 (+184)
  • cruise missiles - 3,369 (+23) units
  • warships/boats - 28
  • submarines - 1
  • vehicles and fuel tanks - 52,312 (+137)
  • special equipment - 3,916.

Frontline situation

On the evening of June 17, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine identified the most intense areas on the front. The largest number of combat engagements was recorded in the Pokrovsk, Novopavlivka, and Toretsk sectors.

The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) also presented new maps showing that the Russian occupation forces advanced in the Pokrovsk and Toretsk sectors.
