Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of June 9

During the current day, 124 combat engagements were recorded in the combat zone. The enemy exerted the most pressure in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian forces launched a massive missile strike using 21 missiles, carried out 48 airstrikes, and dropped 53 guided aerial bombs. The enemy also used 1,347 kamikaze drones and conducted 4,343 shelling attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas.
In the Kharkiv direction, four attacks were repelled in the areas of Vovchansk, Kamianka, and Hlyboke.
In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled six assaults near Kindrashivka, Zahryzove, Holubivka, Stepova Novoselivka, and Kolisnykivka. One engagement is ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, nine attacks were recorded near Lypove, Ridkodub, Karpivka, Novyi Myr, Olhivka, and Hryhorivka. Three battles are ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, five assaults were repelled in the areas of Bila Hora and Kurdyumivka.
In the Toretsk direction, eleven attacks were recorded near Dyliivka, Toretsk, and Yablunivka. Three battles are ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy made thirty attempts to break through the defense near Nova Poltavka, Novoukrainka, Novoolenivka, Bohdanivka, Novoserhiivka, Myroliubivka, Yelyzavetivka, Malynivka, Promin, Lysivka, Udachne, Oleksiivka, and Andriivka, as well as in the directions of Zelenyi Kut, Pokrovsk, and Muravka. Three combat engagements are ongoing.
Preliminary estimates indicate that 146 Russian soldiers have been killed in this direction (87 irreversibly), along with one armored combat vehicle, six cars, four communication antennas, fifteen motorcycles, ten drones, three drone control points, an electronic warfare station, one vehicle, two motorcycles, a tank, and a heavy flamethrower system destroyed.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy carried out twelve attacks near Kostyantynopil, Novosilka, Zelenyi Poly, Vilne Pole, Vesele, Shevchenko, Bahatyr, and Zaporizhzhia. Five battles are ongoing. Airstrikes were recorded in the areas of Zaporizhzhia and Novopil.
In the Huliaipole direction, Ukrainian forces repelled two attacks near Malynivka, with one more ongoing. Huliaipole and Olhivske were hit by airstrikes.
In the Orikhiv direction, four assaults were repelled near Novoandriivka, Stepove, Nesteryanka, and toward Pavlivka.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy attempted to advance four times near the Antonivka Road Bridge, with one engagement ongoing.
In the Kursk direction, the Defense Forces repelled 25 attacks. Eight airstrikes were also recorded, involving 15 guided bombs, along with 143 artillery shellings, two of which were from multiple rocket launch systems.
In other directions, the situation remained without significant changes.
Russian losses in the war
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost over 997,000 military personnel.
In the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces have eliminated another 970 Russian soldiers, as well as destroyed four tanks, eleven armored combat vehicles, forty-two artillery systems, 167 drones, and other enemy equipment.
