Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of June 6

As of 10:00 p.m. Kyiv time on June 6th, there were 164 combat engagements along the front over the past 24 hours. The highest number of Russian attack attempts was recorded in the Pokrovsk direction, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian attacks
Today, according to updated data, the enemy launched one massive missile strike and 41 airstrikes, deploying 45 missiles and 77 guided aerial bombs, used 1,519 kamikaze drones for attacks, and conducted over 4,427 bombardments against Ukrainian military positions and civilian areas.
Frontline situation
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy attacked four times near Vovchansk, Krasne Pershe, and Vovchanski Khutory.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy made four attempts throughout the day to advance toward our positions in the areas of Zahrizove and Stepova Novoselivka. Ukrainian units repelled all Russian attacks.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 17 times in the areas of Zelena Dolyna, Hrekivka, Kolodyazi, and toward Novyi Myr, Olhivka, Ridkodub, Vovchyi Yar, Hryhorivka, Torske, and Serebryanske Forestry. Four engagements are currently ongoing.
In the Siversk direction, the enemy twice attacked the Defense Forces' positions toward Serebryanka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, our defenders repelled eight enemy attacks in the areas of Kurdiumivka, Chasiv Yar, and toward Bila Hora.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy conducted 12 offensive actions against our forces' positions in the areas of Dyliivka, Kleban-Byk, Toretsk, and toward Oleksandro-Kalynove, Rusyn Yar, Stepanivka, and Yablunivka. Two engagements are still ongoing.
Since the beginning of the day, the enemy made 56 attempts to penetrate our defenses in the Pokrovsk direction in the areas of Nova Poltavka, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Novoserhiivka, Novooleksandrivka, Horikhove, Nadiivka, Novoukrainka, Andriivka, and toward Malynivka, Myrolyubivka, Poltavka, Promin, Muravka, and Oleksiivka. Five engagements are currently ongoing.
"According to available information, enemy losses in this direction today amount to 210 occupiers killed and wounded. Additionally, one tank, four armored fighting vehicles, seven vehicles, ten motorcycles, 14 unmanned aerial vehicles, one satellite communication terminal, and five drone antennas were destroyed, while one enemy motorcycle was damaged," the report states.
In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 15 attacks by the occupying army today in the areas of Kostiantynopil, Zaporizhzhia, Komar, Novopil, Zelene Pole, Shevchenko, Vilne Pole, and toward Dachne and Bahatyr. The settlement of Olhivske came under air attack.
In the Huliaipole direction, Defense Forces successfully repelled three enemy attacks near Malynivka and toward Poltavka, with two engagements still ongoing. Additionally, the enemy conducted airstrikes on Huliaipole, Poltavka, and Malynivka.
In the Orikhiv direction, our defenders repelled two enemy attacks in the area of Pyatykhatky and toward Pavlivka. The enemy also conducted airstrikes on Kamianske.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Russian forces conducted an airstrike with unguided aerial missiles against the area of Mykolaivka.
In the Kursk direction, Russian forces made a total of 30 attempts to advance today. The enemy conducted seven airstrikes and dropped 15 guided aerial bombs, carried out 157 artillery bombardments of our military positions and settlements, including four attacks with multiple launch rocket systems.
Russian army losses
Over the past 24 hours, from June 5-6, Russians lost another 1,160 soldiers in combat against Ukraine. Overall, Russian losses since February 24, 2022, have now exceeded 993,000 military personnel.
Ukrainian forces also destroyed 44 artillery systems and 101 vehicles during the previous day.
