As of 10:00 PM Kyiv time on June 1, the situation on the frontline remains tense. Russian forces continue large-scale assaults, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces are disrupting Russia’s plans, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As of 10:00 PM Kyiv time on June 1, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold off advances by Russian forces along the entire frontline.

Over the past day, a total of 107 combat engagements took place. Russian troops launched 3 missile strikes, 50 airstrikes using 6 missiles and 50 guided bombs. In addition, 1,396 kamikaze drone attacks and over 4,000 artillery shellings were recorded.

Frontline update

In the Kharkiv direction, a Russian assault near Fiholivka was repelled.

In the Kupiansk direction, seven attacks were launched near Stepova Novoselivka and Nova Kruhliakivka, with one clash ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, 19 assaults took place near Hrekivka, Novomykhailivka, Nadiia, Ridkodub, and Yampol.

In the Siversk direction, eight attacks were recorded near Bilohorivka, Verkhniokamianske, and Hryhorivka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, fighting continues near Chasiv Yar and Bila Hora; three attacks have been repelled.

In the Toretsk direction, 11 assaults were recorded in the areas of Toretsk and Dyliivka.

Russian losses in this area were significant:

  • 145 killed, 140 wounded;
  • one APC, 13 vehicles, 9 motorcycles, and 31 drones destroyed;
  • two electronic warfare systems, a Murom-M station, 6 shelters, and one mortar disabled.

In the Novopavlivka direction, 14 assaults took place near Novosilka, Zelenyi Hai, Vilne Pole, Bahatyr, and Vidradne.

In the Orikhiv direction, two breakthrough attempts near Stepove were repelled.

In the Kursk direction, Ukrainian troops stopped 16 attacks; three more are ongoing. Russian forces also carried out five airstrikes and 195 shelling attacks here.

In other sectors of the front, the tactical situation remained largely unchanged.

The General Staff highlighted the resilience and professionalism of Ukraine’s 27th National Guard Brigade and the 406th Artillery Brigade named after General-Khorunzhyi Oleksii Almazov, who continue to defend their positions and prevent any advances.

Earlier, Russian personnel losses on May 31 alone exceeded 1,200.

Additionally, Russian military activity has intensified in the Kursk region, with equipment being moved and new drone operator positions established.
