Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of May 27

Since the beginning of the day, 87 combat engagements have taken place on the front. The enemy continues to exert pressure on the Pokrovsk and Lyman directions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
Situation on the front
In the Kharkiv direction, the Defense Forces repelled four attacks in the areas of the settlements of Vovchansk, Zapadne, and Dovhenke. Another fight is ongoing.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attempted to advance twice in the area of Zahryzove.
In the Lyman direction, Russian forces attacked 14 times in the areas of Serebrianske forestry, Nadiia, Novomykhailivka, Ridkodub, and in the directions of Hrekivka, Hryhorivka, Karpivka, and Novyi Myr. Currently, seven combat engagements are ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Defense Forces are repelling three enemy attempts to advance near Chasiv Yar, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, and toward Bila Hora.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy attacked five times in the areas of Druzhba, Dyliivka, and Toretsk. One combat engagement is still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy launched 28 attacks in the areas of the settlements Zoria, Myroliubivka, Malynivka, Lysivka, Zvirove, Udachne, Novoserhiivka, Novomykolaivka, Muravka, Kotliarivka, and others. Seven combat engagements continue at the moment.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Defense Forces repelled enemy attacks in the areas of Kostiantynopil, Burlatske, Novopil, and Zelene Pole. Eight out of nine enemy offensive actions were repelled, with one combat engagement ongoing.
In the Orikhiv direction, the Defense Forces stopped seven enemy attacks in the areas of Mali Shcherbaky, Stepove, and toward Novodanylivka.
In the Kursk direction, 14 combat engagements have taken place so far, two of which are ongoing.
Russian losses in the war
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has lost more than 982,000 personnel. Just in the past day, May 26, enemy losses amounted to 990 people. The Defense Forces also struck:
